If you compare the pre-season hype with current reality, the gaps really are amazing. Going in we had the best two QB combo in the nation a real luxury. Now we have two QB's that can barely tie their shoes. We had one of, if not the best offensive lines in the country. Now we only have a line that is offensive. We had a returning back with over 800 yards as a freshman, who may not reach that as a Sophomore. And so on. Does everyone realize really how bad this team is? I mean WSU, with its air raid offense, ran the ball all over Stanford last week. Now Miami will be coming in, having looked pretty bad the last two weeks, ready to right their ship in South Bend. After watching Alabama destroy a good Tennessee team yesterday, deep depression has set in. Either ND is so far and away behind the times; or Alabama has discovered a juicing method that can't be detected.
