Sorry the “Carr is Irish” thread was getting too long for my taste. After day 1 of the camp CJ is ranked number 6 by rivals, number 10 by On3.

I read a couple of different sites and both sites state the same thing “Carr has flawless footwork and mechanics”.

I’d take Carr over any other QB in this class, he’s had a life of coaching by a family that knows football. His dad was a QB at Michigan and his grandfather is a legendary CFB, fact.

CJ will be starting by the end of his Freshmen year. He’s the best QB talent ND has had since J. Clausen.

I believe there is a realistic chance Marcus Freeman will sign another Portal QB for 2024 rather than rely on the current QB room for 2024, which is Angeli, Minchey, and Carr. We will see.

Then Carr vs Minchey for the Qb1 role in 25?

If we get the right out of the portal in 24…..then the plan lines up nicely.

Hartman-23
Portal QB- 24
Carr/Minchey- 25
Carr/Minchey- 26

Carr finished tied for third on the day two. (Pro Day). Carr had accuracy on 16-20 passes and scored a 44. Julian Sayin won the day with accuracy on all 20 passes and a score of 49.

I hope Sam Hartman stays healthy for 12 regular season games.

Yesterdays event (pro day) fit his style much better than Wednesday. Some of these ranking services that are propping up Davis to justify his over ranking on their services (like 247 and Rivals) are pathetic. Andrew Ivins is the only person in attendance that ranked Davis in the top 10 (shocker, he’s supporting 247’s preposterous 5 star ranking). Everyone else has been saying Davis looks bad, ranking him near the bottom. Yet, Ivin’s put him at #6 😂

On3’s Power is still not showing CJ the love he deserves. Has him ranked 193 or whatever it is so refuses to give him much credit in quotes, despite Elite 11 having him tied with Raiola at 3.

It’s all politics and propping supporting own rankings.

The only list that has any non bias credibility is the actual Elite 11 ranking. That’s where CJ ranks third overall.

I looked back at the 2020 Elite 11 and the winner was Brock Vandergriff, who has yet to take any meaningful college snaps. Caleb Williams has won the Heisman from that group and Drake Maye is looking to be a top 5 pick along with Williams. So let’s keep it in perspective.

Let’s face it, rankings move around for a lot of reasons. Blowing up Elite 11 is like blowing up the NFL draft combine, might get you picked sooner, doesn’t guarantee success.

Most if not all of the MVPs over the past 10+ years have been nobody’s. There was a post on Twitter that listed the past 10 or 12 and I couldn’t even remember most of them.

Then don't start a thread on the subject of Elite 11, or read the results.

2017- Justin Fields
2018-Spencer Rattler
2019- CJ Stroud
2020- Caleb Williams

Go past Tua and there are a couple of pretty obscure names.

He’s top 5 by everyone besides On3, who ranked him 9th to cover their asses with the terrible ranking thy have him at. It should be illegal to be that biased.
Elite 11 themselves named Julian Sayin their MVP. Waiting to see if Elite 11 publishes a ranking.

What Off3 says is irrelevant to me.

On3 put him 9th. They are the reason he won’t get a 5 star. I will never watch Singer again. Bye Singer and Goolsby. Done.

Julian Sayin is obviously outstanding in these camp environments. He was the MVP at the Steve Clarkson QB camp in late May.

Julian Sayin is the next JT Daniels, and I don't think he'll even be that good. CJ Carr definitely, definitely >>> than Julian Sayin. And what kind of effed-up name is Julian Sayin? I'm just saying.....

Kenny Minchey of course is the future. Don't know why everyone's so hung up on CJ Carr, we got our next great QB already on campus....

Advil, please. 2.

Seriously? Wtf am I reading.

No, dude! Cyanide, I keep telling you that. And bite down hard on it, that way it'll work. That's what the Nazis did. All their top officers that we all know about as educated adults, your Himlers, your Goerings, etc., etc. That's how a lot of them did the deed, when the game was finally up.

And that's what you gotta do. Not Advil. It's not strong enough.... I don't know, can you even get Cyanide? If you ever wanted to mercifully put yourself and everyone else out of their misery. Maybe that's a controlled substance....

I'm not even sure what I said that was objectionable, to elicit your banal wrath in such predictable fashion. I singled out with emphasis how CJ Carr is better than Julian Sayin, which is a very pro-ND comment. And how much Julian Sayin obviously sucks. And then followed with another positive remark about Kenny Minchey, who was pretty highly-rated himself and is definitely going to be our next top QB. But you're such a reliable lickspittle that you really can't help yourself. I can only imagine what it must like to be in your soul, given how your appalling existence vexes me like it does. A chilling prospect.....

I won’t knock Sayin, I think Carr could be in a Peyton Manning mold with a life time of coaching.

Sayin is excellent I think Carr has a chance to be elite.
Sayin is the next JT Daniels, you watch. First I was thinking he's the next Drew Pyne, because he was so ballyhooed as a freshman and sophomore, while looking so underwhelming. But now he's matured into JT Daniels future bust status.

Rounding into form.....
