I thought this was about them firing their coach. I like that they’ve stayed patient with their coach in an era where seemingly everyone is itching to fire the coach. Good on them.

I'm from the Bay Area and went to many Cal games as a kid. That said, I do follow them closely and have a lot of respect for the institution. Wilcox is a very good coach and he's loyal. He had an offer to go to Oregon and turned it down. He gets his guys to play hard and was very close to upsetting Miami this year. I got a lot of respect for him, considering he doesn't have the resources other schools have.
