Should he be fired?


While is appears the initial story was an attempt to honor the soldiers protecting news teams in Iraq, he clearly exaggerated where he was and the danger he faced. What should NBC News do?

Who cares, the news is all biased bullshit anyway. Often times pure sensationalism, or not news at all. If they fired every journalist for embellishing or not telling the God's honest truth, there wouldn't be anyone left
 
Geraldo Riveria staged a broadcast while at CNN as if the combat was raging just beyond the hill he stood in front of, but in reality he was no where close to any combat whatsoever. Unlike Williams, he tried to defend his reporting. Geraldo was fired by CNN.

The fact that he was then hired by Fox News says a lot about Fox News.

I suppose if Brian Williams falls in such a way that he is compared to Geraldo or the clown show at Fox News it would be best for him to just resign.

It is pretty amazing what Fox News gets away masquerading as a news broadcast.

Hell no! he is probably one the better ones out there right now.

Fox has the best looking women and that is all that matters when it comes to news
 
neither Geraldo nor O'Rielly are New Anchors; nor really even news reporters. They are show biz people; just as Springer or Bilko or Miley.
An Anchor needs to be just that. He needs to be removed from that role.

I show you two independent sources, one showing Fox News lies more than it tells the truth and the second pointing out that O'Reilly is a liar. You then determine Fox's legitimacy?

The travesty is that Fox calls what they do is news.

Then again, I agree that Brian Williams should be held to a hire standard as he is considered honorable unlike the people on Fox with a few exceptions.

Zona, Nothing I shared is from the Daily Koz and the Tampa Bay Times study showing Fox News lies more than it tells the truth is very well done with a totally acceptable methodology backing up their findings.

Does anyone here finds O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck or Limbaugh more reliable or honest than anyone at NBC?

Liberal? That's funny. Is the source calling Fox News, the Tampa Bay Times liberal? Is the Senate liberal that just accepted the reality of climate change as real 98-1 liberal? Is the RNC that said Obama was born in Hawaii liberal.

Yes climate does change. Congratulations. Today it is going to rain and the high is 68 where I live and tomorrow it will be sunny with a high of 63. That is reason enough to cause mass hysteria. I am very grateful that the scientific community have such brilliant minds. They deserve to hog all that grant money.
 
SoutherIrish, Climate Change has nothing to do with the weather from day to day. You really need to know a little something about the issue before you deny its reality.

Climate Chane is real, it is virtually universally accepted by anyone who does not make money off our exposure to its cause, it is now named a reality by most of the GOP and really needs to be worked to slow and/or erase rather than a talking point which makes the radical right even look more stupid.BTW, I don't know Brian Williams opinion of the subject of climate change but he appears to be a good guy when not imagining things.

I know all I need to know about Global Warming....I mean Climate Change. My post obviously when over your head. Anyway, I don't give a damn if most of the GOP acknowledges it. And you're right, Brian Williams appears to be a good guy. Maybe he should start doing fireside chats with America.
