....So Lou Holtz announces he is done at ND..and lots of gesturing ensues....Davie acted as the head coach on the sideline when Lou had his bad neck in a brace and sat in the press box for the ND-Washington game in Seattle.
Purdue offered the head coaching job to Davie.....and then ND offered the head job to Davie and I am convinced the Purdue offer was what did it for Davie.
