Is there any evidence he had some hesitation for any reason, family, marriage, climate/weather, food.... He likes them baby back ribs. Or whatever is the preferred delicacy in the Texas panhandle, that he wouldn't be able to get in The Bend, and that's why he declined? What if he just didn't want to take the job? I think they did up his salary, TT boosters are ready to spend some money, and get back into the game! Well I guess it's never a bad time for some thoughtful reflection on the virtues of choosing family over career. Even if that's not what happened here at all.
