The ACC released today its preseason poll from the conference's 16 head coaches. Notre Dame was ranked 15th with 44 total points. Only Boston College was voted lower with 31 points. Virginia was projected to finish first with Florida State in a close second.
The preseason poll from Baseball America includes seven ACC teams: No. 5 Virginia, No. 6 Florida State, No. 8 Clemson, No. 10 Duke, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 16 NC State and No. 17 Wake Forest.
Notre Dame will open its season on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, to start a three-game series against North Florida in Jacksonville. Notre Dame's first home game is scheduled for March 5 against Eastern Michigan. The Irish will begin ACC play at Wake Forest on March 7.
