Kelly is making good money. I am as upset as you that Kelly is making bottom 50%. However, this is the last year Weis is syphoning off ND. Believe it or not, Weis is making almost twice as much as Brian Kelly to NOT coach ND.

You can all talk Colin Montgomerie BS all you want but Weis is a big, fat ass slob. Some on here say Weis is a ND man - Weis is $2M a year ND man taking money to not do a job. As soon as that fat ass quits syphoning MILLIONS from ND then ND can start paying a coach competitive money. Say what you will about BK but he is a good coach, works hard, and earns half the money fat-ass Weis is being paid to get lost.

I believe weis may be the worst cfb HC in the history of the game. Top 3 easy....
I think Kansas hired him because he was the only one that would fit mangino's custom furniture. ND has $8 billion + in endowment $. We are also spending $400 million on stadium renovation.... kelly got what he commanded.

I do miss people like 35 and the other quality contributors that no longer post here. I post only if I'm move by the discussion. He ditched his undefeated cinci team weeks before their biggest game in school history. He looked to get out of dodge as fast as possible post NC game with ND.... After preaching family, team blah blah blah he flew the coop and tried to fly the coop. He's loyal to himself.

The music city bowl is perhaps decent for some. I should have been more clear that I meant Orange, Fiesta, Rose, Sugar...... Music City, Pinstripe, Sun...are all lower bowls....

kelly has no major bowl wins on his resume. I'm wondering what is the highest ranked team he has beaten while at ND...?

Well, I guess I judge him against myself and try to cut him some slack. I cussed so much that wax put me in the penalty box...when you are passionate about something sometimes you cuss and your face turns purple. The guy that created the photo admitted coloring it more purple...not to say his face wasn't already purple. ND laid down the law on hiring BK; he was to take the job immediately and unf#%& the recruiting nightmare CW left for him. I have to give you a pass on the NCG - that's still one that I have trouble accepting. Not that he left on vacation or interviewed for another job but that he brought his players in to the post-game interview and let them take the fall. He should have had Diaco's a$$ in that interview explaining why ND got curb-stomped by Bama rather than Te'o and Motta. I knew you were talking big bowl games but to lay wood to a SEC heavyweight in a bowl game is a good win.

Good points except ignoring the facts makes everything you say invalid. You're Rival's recognized biggest liar, fraud and dishonest delusional poster. Don't take my word for it.... ask anyone who has been posting on Rivals more than a day. Read the daily posts regarding you. You are not believed or respected by anyone with an IQ above 50.

You're a good dude. There were a ton of folks that disliked Devine during his tenure. I liked the guy. He had a super tough act to follow. Here's a guy that won a NC, 2 Cotton Bowls, a Gator bowl...53-16-1 .764....and to this day folks dislike him, but many have softened. His background prior to arriving at ND was excellent and folks didn't like him for a number of reasons....most prominently was his personality imo. There are also plenty of Yankee fans that couldn't stand Billy Martin...plenty loved him. It goes with the HC/manager territory. kelly has done stuff that many alum/others find "unattractive". He had plenty of cards to play with Swarbrick to delay his hire until after the bcs game. If Swarbrick played hardball under those circumstances kelly should have told him to stick it. Who knows how it went down? I have never seen a coach abandon an undefeated team heading to a bcs game. He also spent a lot of nc goodwill going dark and pursuing an NFL job.... folks can form their opinions as they see fit, but I find most people who don't like kelly have valid reasons....
PS. Those that don't like him have their disdain enhanced by games like northwestern....clemson...Tulsa...so fl....other stinkers and poor against the grain decision making.... typing from phone sorry for typos and stream of thought......
