Army v Navy

Anchors aweigh, baby!

Whoever the victor is, this game is one of my favorites every year, and now with NIL and the portal, I imagine I will value it even more. Young men playing football just for the love of the game, and to bring honor to your school.

Can’t recall an Army Navy game with so many mistakes and penalties!

Those are special young men, young men who will go on to serve and defend our country and all of us.

For those of you who feel that games are meaningless, look at the passion, the intensity and the angst in those young men.

The will to compete and win is not “meaningless“ !

The will to win is a measure of our fabric !

How well I know, my beautiful wife, only in her fifties, died of brain cancer less than a year ago after suffering for almost two years from an incurable High Grade Glioma, the ugliest and cruelest form of cancer. No one should suffer like that, and she never complained, she was angelic !

What a game! Would never miss it.
Agree! Sloppy and poorly played this year by their own standards, but they always give incredible effort, on every play. The blocking and tackling are fundamentally outstanding and every player seems to execute at full throttle on each down until the whistle blows. Really fun football to watch, and they gave us exciting football in OT.

It looked like high school football but played by men. It was a throwback to football 100 years ago. I loved the game, was rooting for Navy but this rivalry is even better when the wins shift back and forth.

The football itself wasn't great but the entertainment value of the game this year (as it usually is) was off the charts. Just loved to see how the players played their guts out, and loved the raucous enthusiasm of the people in the stands, especially the cadets and midshipmen in attendance. Their passion and energy for the game is something special, and it was something else to see virtually everyone in the stadium standing up and singing "Don't Stop Believing" during the fourth quarter. I also loved the pregame pageantry with the March On and then the flyovers by the Army Apaches followed by the Navy F-18s. The game is always something special.

Not me. I would complain. But that is an ugly way to go. 🙏🙏

it would have been very interesting if the would have let each player on each team pick either a white helmet or a black helmet - then, regardless of the military, play the game as white hats vs the black hats! news would be made!! however it would not have been reported on MSM.
