I read that too, but their coach ended up naming Hornibrook as the their starter right before Spring practices started. As a freshman and back up, the kid played a decent amount last year. More than Malik.

In my opinion, this does not bode well for Malik. Is he really serious about playing this year? Are schools really serious about taking him?

One would think he should have made this decision (if it is a decision) before spring practices started. It'll be tough mudding getting his foot in the door after spring ball.

I don't think there was much interest out there for him. He wanted to make a quick decision but he decided to back off until making an announcement in April. I'm guessing there will be movement after everyone is done with spring ball and he can then check out more depth charts after some potential transfers.

Pitt and UNC were thought to be early favorites but they've filled their need.

There was an article out before the 1st of the year saying that Zaire had a change of plans & wouldn't be picking a school until April. So, this was to be expected.
