I can't believe I'm agreeing with you!The worst and most impolite CFB fan base I have ever been around are Ohio St. football fans. Low Budget.
I ve been to at least 40 D1 stadiums. You couldn't be more accurate. That said Nebraska fans were easily the nicest I've encountered as a fan. The atmosphere there was terrific. The worst and most impolite CFB fan base I have ever been around are Ohio St. football fans. Low Budget.
Not surprised regarding Nebraska.I ve been to at least 40 D1 stadiums. You couldn't be more accurate. That said Nebraska fans were easily the nicest I've encountered as a fan. The atmosphere there was terrific.
OSU fans are expecting to pull a Georgia and have about 20-30K fans in the stadium.![]()

It’s well accepted that they are among the worst. I’ve heard the old Miami orange bowl crowd was flat out dangerous. My worst experience was at BC. They all pale in comparison to the Philadelphia Eagles. The worst and most impolite CFB fan base I have ever been around are Ohio St. football fans. Low Budget.
Why?I’ve wondered with the technology available today, why ND doesn’t check to see which season ticket holder seats are represented by opposing fans, and revoke their tickets…
But you love those usc fans dontcha . Now come on, dontchaWhy?
I attended an LA Dodger at LA Angel game recently, and the sold out 44,000 seat stadium was 60% Dodger fans, many of them in the best seats. The Notre Dame admin should not care less what ND people do with their tickets if Buckeye fans want to over pay for seats, like Georgia fans did. It's a bucket list thing for Ohio State fans, who are without question the worst and most impolite CFB fan base I have ever been around.

Now it's 45,000 visiting fans. LMAO. The Georgia visiting crowd has risen 5,000 every season since 2017.Why?
Because it’s embarrassing to the program and hurts the team. College football is great because home field advantage means something. Think of recruiting. You think players want to play in front of 45,000 visiting fans?
Why should the administration give preference to ND “fans” who sell their tickets on Ticketmaster for insane profit?
Administration doesn’t see that money.
Also, insane comparison. MLB has 80+ home games. We get 6…
Good to know you love turning on NBC hearing, “It’s a sea of red here in South Bend, IN.”Now it's 45,000 visiting fans. LMAO. The Georgia visiting crowd has risen 5,000 every season since 2017.
What happened to the Clemson take over last season?Good to know you love turning on NBC hearing, “It’s a sea of red here in South Bend, IN.”
Also that administration shouldn’t care about (your words) the worst and most impolite fanbase sitting in season ticket holder seats. Seats other ND fans would die for but maybe can’t afford the 7x multiple an already rich doner put on the ticket.
Do you not think this hurts the team and recruiting?
Did I say it happens every single game? What happened to the Clemson take over last season?
For weeks that is all you heard about before the 2022 Clemson game.Did I say it happens every single game?
In the Clemson game, ND fans did a great job of showing up in force. In this context, Columbus is also a little over 4+ hours away. Unfortunately they will be well represented in South Bend, mainly due to proximity and the fact that this is the first time they've come to South Bend since 1996. Many of their fans will have this as a CFB dream trip. ND fans should be looking to pack the stadium to support the team in a home game of this magnitude, not dump tickets. If ND can beat NC State week 3, they should be undefeated heading into that game. What happened to the Clemson take over last season?
Yes driving distance and Ohio's somewhat large population does not bode well for the stadium. Add that our alumni are scattered around the country, and ND had the bright idea of making the big games more expensive. In the Clemson game, ND fans did a great job of showing up in force. Maryland. Worst fans everI ve been to at least 40 D1 stadiums. You couldn't be more accurate. That said Nebraska fans were easily the nicest I've encountered as a fan. The atmosphere there was terrific.
Frankly, I do not care what Notre Dame Football fans and ticket holders do. If you want to sell your tickets for 2-3-4-5x face value, do so.In the Clemson game, ND fans did a great job of showing up in force. In this context, Columbus is also a little over 4+ hours away. You really think ND came up with the "marquee game" ticket price???? B1G & SEC schools have been doing it for over 20 years.ND had the bright idea of making the big games more expensive.
The fans can help by SHOWING UP. What happened against Georgia was embarrassing.Frankly, I do not care what Notre Dame Football fans and ticket holders do. If you want to sell your tickets for 2-3-4-5x face value, do so.
Notre Dame can't help it if this is a bucket list trip for opposing fans.
Heck, I don't blame Ohio State fans for over paying.
And Cincinnati. And NebraskaThe fans can help by SHOWING UP. What happened against Georgia was embarrassing.
Oh well, if an association of large government institutions does something then we should do it too.You really think ND came up with the "marquee game" ticket price???? B1G & SEC schools have been doing it for over 20 years.
Did not find it embarrassing whatsoever. That's your problem. And the legend of how many Georgia fans were actually in the stadium grows annually. The fans can help by SHOWING UP. What happened against Georgia was embarrassing.
Stopped at "OSU Fans..."OSU fans travel and will in large numbers because they see Notre Dame as more enjoyable roadkill on their way to the playoffs. Notre Dame has got to find a way to win this game....late field goal, two point conversion, run out the clock....whatever it takes. OSU fans need to have a four hour drive home that feels like eight. I want to hear what's left of SportsCenter making excuses for OSU and why they lost. I want to watch Ryan Day's post game news conference explaining the loss. It's time for this to happen this year.
Not saying ND should do it... I was just responding to your post that made it seem like ND invented the practice.Oh well, if an association of large government institutions does something then we should do it too.
Jackass, no. They have one of the largest alumni bases in the nation and are 4 hrs from ND- a bucket list destination. Their student population is 600% that of NDs.OSU fans travel and will in large numbers because they see Notre Dame as more enjoyable roadkill on their way to the playoffs.
