I think Bodi was the first one here to champion the recruitment of Amosa late last year. At the time, I thought he had a good upside, but blown away by how much and how well he is playing as a true freshman. He's stronger than I expected of a true freshman, has really good quickness at point of attack, and is playing a larger and larger role as the season progresses. Against MSU he had the second most snaps to Tillery of our DTs, and the most in the first half. His most impressive play of the night may have been when he tackled their QB who looked to have some open field to run until Amosa showed incredible lateral quickness in closing this off and nailing him with a great open field tackle for loss. This kid has star potential, and when you consider the addition of Hinish and Ewell from this class along with next year's commits, It looks like we are building one hell of a talented and deep interior line for the next few years.

Anytime you get a kid that has the quickness and burst to record double digits sacks playing defensive end, but has the frame to grown into a defensive tackle, you have a plus athlete. Love those Polynesian kids because they tend to fill out into monsters. Myron was 6'4, 270lbs as a high school senior. He packed on 20lbs in about 8 months. He'll probably play at 300-310lbs next year and the strength staff is going to have a lot of fun moulding him into a monster.

USC almost always has a kid like this on their defensive line. Myron had a USC offer as well. Polian did a great job of stealing a kid that USC usually gets easily without a fight from a school like ND.

Polian...the rainmaker as per Bodi. I think folks are generally disappointed with our ST play, which has been decent, and nothing to get excited about; but Polian is worth every penny of his salary for his recruiting alone. Another excellent hire by Kelly after last year's debacle.

It does make you start to wonder if our DL problem was coach and scheme related, not player talent related.

He's got some sheldon day in him.
He does. I keep thinking about Ademilola and Franklin joining Amosa and Hinish and Ewell next year to form what might be one of our best Defensive lines in a long time by the following season.

Great call. He's much quicker than you'd expect from someone of his size and he holds the point of attack really well.
