ACC Will Weigh Changes to Title Game

They are thinking of giving the regular season champion a bye and letting the 2nd and 3rd place teams play in the ACC championship.

So, the regular season champion won't be eligible for a bye in the CFP, but they'll ensure getting 2 or maybe 3 teams in the playoff.

At that point just get rid of the ACC championship game.

ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said on Sunday the league will have conversations among coaches and athletic directors to ponder changes to its conference championship game format after a season in which two league teams made the College Football Playoff.
