I think the ACC will give Clemson a bye before their matchup with us every year. They got one in 2015 prior to playing us as well.

By the way, how freaking boring would this schedule be? And wait until next year when their non-conference opponents are SC State, Wyoming, UConn, and South Carolina!
  • Sept. 3 (Thursday): at Georgia Tech
  • Sept. 12: LOUISVILLE
  • Sept. 19: AKRON
  • Sept. 26: VIRGINIA
  • Oct. 2 (Friday): at Boston College
  • Oct. 10: at Florida State
  • Oct. 17: NC STATE
  • Oct. 24: SYRACUSE
  • Nov. 7: at Notre Dame
  • Nov. 14: THE CITADEL
  • Nov. 21: at Wake Forest
  • Nov. 28: SOUTH CAROLINA

Since ND makes their own schedule why doesn't ND have a bye before the Clem game? STUPIDITY

They said at the beginning of the ACC deal that ND supplies the dates and the ACC supplies the teams. Therefore they can move them around to ensure most get a bye the week before.

OK ND listen up. 1 Go all in on fb and win a couple nattys. 2. Join the AAC IN OLYMPIC sports. 3. Dump the ACC

The bowl system after play off.teams needs to go back to the actual bowls picking teams. The current system only benifits ESPN.

So you want ND to, pay the ACC 50 million dollars and loose it's media rights through 2035, leave a power 5 conference and join a conference (old Big East) they (ND) dump several years ago? I don't think so....

The amount of talent Clemson has and performance in the CFP probsbly puts Clemson above any criticism, but thats still an unbelievably boring and awful schedule there. What’s irksome is that the CFP era allows for losses while still being in National Championship contention provided a difficult SOS. It’d be nice to see Clemson play some decent OOC games since more games of interest nationally is a win for everyone and doesn’t hurt teams like it used to.

We sort of still are on a 10 game schedule. No one with a ballot cares whether Bowling Green is better than South Alabama.

"OK ND listen up. 1 Go all in on fb and win a couple nattys. 2. Join the AAC IN OLYMPIC sports. 3. Dump the ACC"

1.) Define "ALL IN"?
2.) You want ND to join a lesser than Power 5 conference, no less one that ND left, just for it's Olympic Sports (basically, everything but Football)? Are you really seriors????
3.) Since ND has a deal with the ACC through the mid 2030's, do you know the cost that ND would incur to simply "dump" the ACC?

Not only that, but who would we schedule in October and November? One of the reasons we signed on to the arrangement with the ACC was that it was becoming increasingly more difficult to schedule games once conference play began.

Don't forget the cost of flying the volleyball team to SMU, USF, ECU, and Tulsa.

See my earlier post. ND pushed all it's money into the ACC pot. They're not going anywhere for a long time.
