2018 DL Commitment from the Ademilola twins!

The '18 class is off to a great start but lets not short change the '17 class. How great would it be to add Echols and Ewell. Through in CJ Holmes and Tarik Black before the season even begins and you are talking some really solid recruiting. I know it's going to be a battle to land Black.

I actually expect all that to happen. Yes the '17 class could def be in the top 10 in the end. I would add Robert Hainsey, the 4* Olineman as well. I thought i read he is committing in a couple weeks at the Opening.

one of the recruiting writers who covers irish recruiting is saying that our irish are still working FL CB Shaun Wade pretty hard and thinks our irish get him to flip in the end. Wade who is a top 3 rated CB and a OSU commit always says great things about our irish to reporters when interviewed about schools

if that happens, wouldn't you, for a moment, like to be a fly on the wall in UM's office when he is told!

I'm skeptical on Loys reporting on Wade. Him hearing from sources within ND thinking he will be ND in the end is a stretch for me at this point. As of now he calls ND & Bama "backup plans" and says he "fully committed" to OSU. As fully committed as 1 can be while 1 sentence later talking about taking multiple official visits, haha

Irish -- NDAFArly -- it is not the fact of being a negative nelly (from what I read on the initial post) -- but basically, I think what he was trying to convey was everyone getting over the top excited and proclaiming them as future all-americans, when in fact, they are still a year and a half away from a full commitment. Then, if the "commits" do flip at some point (and yes, we have seen this) then the board goes into a tizzy about the flip and saying things like "get lost", "he does not understand ND", "the SEC pays him more" ... insert your own comment here.

There is nothing wrong with the excitement of a commit -- I hope they all stay true to it as well. But, for me personally, I do not get fully excited until LOI day -- and even then, it can be a crap shoot at times (Eddie V comes to mind). I think that is the message the original person was trying to convey.
Kelso, I've been around long enough to see the negative happen sometimes. My comment that we would get better recruits to replace them has nothing to do with star level but commitment level. I trust the coaching staff to make the best call with what they are faced with 'if' that happens.

To throw a wrench in this early that it 'could' happen is like throwing a wet wool blanket on the fire and I do not understand it. These kids committed and it should be celebrated with confidence rather than expectations of 'loss'.

well, gotta say, the '17 class is getting in on so DL prospects.
per post on TOS, Browning looks like 'no shot', as he is looking to parlay his sig with a job for his brother. I doubt ND goes this route.
This kind of dealing seems to be becoming more frequent. How much job security could you have hired under such arrangement?
