Joining a conference doesn’t cure inept coaching !

Why is it that those who didn’t attend ND tend to advocate for joining a conference and lowering our academic standards ?

Neither of which is about to happen !

Lowering academics standards? Does that mean ND would only join the SEC?

ND has not lowered any academic standards since being in the ACC, which includes 5 football games per year. ND would not lower any academic standards by being a full member of ACC football, nor by joining the arch money-whore Big Ten.

Today’s national article on One Foot Down and SB Nation. Could not have summarized it any better. At least the nation is now seeing what we’ve been watching all season.

A little experienced Head Coach with a little experienced OC at a place that demands a lot of both. Really sad if you think about it because ND shouldn’t settle for anything. Yet they did on their most important sports hires.

and yet Oklahoma is succeeding with Venables who never had a head coaching experience before. No it is getting the right players that listen and perform what the have been coached to do. Not continual face mask grabbers and poor tacklers or guys that can never intercept any passe that are right in their chests. Guys that can't sack or pressure for the life of them. Guys that can't open holes for running backs no matter how bad the D lines in front of them. Those are the problems.

Dabo did not really take off until he got crazy guy to be his DC. 2009 - 9-5 2010 6-6
2011- 10-3. Then Venables comes - 11-2, 11-2, 11-2, 14-1, etc etc.

I've got tickets to the USC game....I decided to go ahead and go. Made the comment last week that going to this game felt more like jury duty.. I shouldn't have said that. On Tuesday....my notice of jury duty showed up in the mail. Can't make this stuff up.
