Read an article on the ATHLETIC trashing YANKEE STADIUM as a football venue for NOTRE DAME. Totally disagree on the negative stadium vibes. Have attended THREE YANKEE STADIUM games. Texas A&M much worse venue to get in to than YANKEE STADIUM. AND the view from the seat at TxAM was absolutely worthless. I do agree ingress at Yankee stadium was not great. But once in line it moved fast. And once in the gate easy walk to seat and food UNLIKE TXAM. Maybe I’m just more use to crappy away game stadiums. CAL horrible access, Stanford also same. LEVI Stadium, Texas AM by far the worst. NOTRE DAME has extremely well regulated and fast entry. MOST STADIA do NOT. And a word to NON NEW YORKERS. Don’t show up to events late. It’s a crowded city. That being said I left my hotel room door at 4:33pm at 29th and 7th Ave and was in my seat with a GREAT STEAK SANDWICH (not the crappy food you get at most stadia) at 5:47pm. (1hr14min). Try that in LA, Chicago, Miami, etc. (at Texam I left NOTRE DAME pre game party tent ONE HOUR before kick off and was in my SEAT (shitty view) 5min prior to kick off) (That’s 55min min to go the equivalent of 3 NYC BLOCKS.)

And the view from my seat at Yankee Stadium was excellent and I also had a 30” high def TV screen closer to me than in my home bedroom. And the seats had empties because lots of people viewing from alternate available seating tables, cafes, bars, etc.

LOVE the VENUE, Atmosphere, and other than UNIVERSITY of NOTRE DAME Stadium GREAT place to see a game. After game fans singing NEW YORK, NEW YORK. Lots of fun. Hope to see another IRISH VICTORY there soon.
Also back at IRISH bar still able to order COTTAGE PIE and a GUINNESS at 11:30pm and watch sc UCLA game. No One else in bar even looked at the screen. PAC12 and NOW BIG10 still do NOT GET IT. PLEASE do NOT put your games on so they END on SUNDAY MORNING in the EAST. ZERO VIEWERSHIP. A real shame that this ONCE HISTORIC RIVALRY is now a nothing BIG10 Game.

When did this occur, I admit, I haven’t followed recruiting as closely this year as years past. With the NIL and all these young men switching commitments left and right I kind of gave up on it.
