Because ND has no games remaining that raise our status. We only have games that drop us. We are on the absolute bubble with one loss. Put up another against what we got left and we drop into the 16-20 because right behind us is a boat load of XX-2 teams that are in the SEC, ACC or B10 and will not play in the championship

I DO think we host a first round game is we win out though.
How could we be both on the bubble with one loss and at the same time a lock to host a first round game?

I would say we're a lock with one loss, and very likely to host a 1st rounder. As far as 10-2 goes, it would all depend on who else loses.

I understand ND has a weak schedule to end the season. It’s about other teams finishing with three losses. If the Big 12 and ACC each get one team, and PSU loses twice more, it would be surprising to me if ND doesn’t get in at 10-2. A computer model even says 17-22%.

We’ll see how this shakes out. I think it’s unreasonable to say that there is no way that a 10-2 ND gets in.

Indiana

You just laid out what I did in another post.

That’s 11 teams you listed, which leaves ND. You cited a playoff predictor that says ND has a 57% chance, why won’t you accept the espn playoff predictor that says 17-22% if ND is 10-2?

It’s really easy for me to look through the schedules and see a pathway to the playoffs at 10-2. I’ve even elucidated several of them.

A&M

Nonsense. A&M would beat Scar. 8 out out of 10 games.
Some of you guys really are desperate, that's the word for it. Sorry ass Texas A&M. Kind of a joke of a program to SEC fans, and CFB at large as well. The ultimate little brother program. And ND beats them one time, first game with their new coach. With sorry ass Connor Weigman throwing pass after pass into the dirt, and all of a sudden they're world beaters. If it makes you feel any better, unless they're able to shake the little brother tag at least for this season and beat Texas, they're not even going to make the playoff. And their little moment of glory in the rankings will have been short-lived.

AP Poll Projections

Coaches poll doesn't agree with your narrative.

They think that TX Am win was very impressive
So much for that Texas A&M win being impressive. Now try to tell us how they lost to a really good South Carolina team. You're such a tool. It's a long season, and A&M still has Texas left. They may not end up in the top 15.

For ND to drop 2 spots in the polls, it's clear the loss to NIU hurts ND, and A&M's loss hurts ND as well, as it diminishes the only quality win on the schedule.

Navy

Finally rewatched this and a few things stood out.

RL is just an absolute baller. Lucky we got him or we would have the Cards and an A&M loss.

Faison is our best WR. Better than Collins. Finally back and finished with most yards. Would not be close if not for the holding call that negated a Riley 25 yarder.

Love is a diff level. Even when he gets hit in the backfield he spins for 5.

We desperately need our #1 kicker back.

There is a drop off without B’’mo but not with Leonard Moore. Kid is a stud. But CG is a drop off.

Our OL is still pretty medium.

Kiser doesn’t get enough credit lining this young talent and making plays.

Bowen and KVA got schooled. Ausberry played well. Sneed was all over.

Junior is playing very well.

Thank god for Watts and Shuler.

CBS Playoff Predictor

Has us as the 10 seed, going out to Utah, tangling with BYU in Round 1. We can certainly win that game.

Winner plays Ohio State.

If we can land some favorable matchups, then this is team has a real shot to get to the semi's.......

Gotta handle business this next month though.
This is from an author and not a machine, correct? I couldn’t find a CBS predictor but an author.

I don’t know how the author could predict Iowa State over BYU to win the Big 12. Of course it’s possible, but BYU is in a much better position.
