Freeman is doing a good job of keeping the NIU memories front and center, but still hard to get up for every game. Army’s record and style should be sufficient motivation; and playing a talented rival in USC at the colosseum to get into the playoffs is more than enough motivation for that game; but UVA is going to require discipline and team wide focus to show up and play at the level where backups are playing in the fourth. Unfortunately this is the recurring problem with the BAD loss to NIU, as it opens debate in this specific scenario.

But, even if this scenario plays out, fine, GA or AL might leapfrog ND...but I say 90%+ chance ND gets in by running the table big, one way or the other.

The SEC is a good conference. Credit is due. I watch enough and see pretty good football teams.

Most of all, I imagine if ND played on the SEC...multiple losses are possible given this Irish team.

I dont' think his issues at ND with winning the big ones was all on him. ND as a program makes sure we have a hard time with that. But BK was an ass and how he left ND and the nonsense theatrics at LSU when he was hired was icing on the cake. I will always root for anyone that is playing LSU because of him. Shame too, I actually kind of like the Bayou Bengals.

SC is going to be tough. It usually is especially in LA. With that said , I agree the Irish are starting to really gel. The only concern is on the offensive side. They have had some good drives but also some not so good. The weapons on offense are there. I would love to see more consistency. Hopefully they continue to improve and of course stay healthy
