Fighting Kelly’s of LSU

And Brian Kelly is paid really really well as a top 10 paid head coach in CFB, with a guaranteed long term contract, to get shit. It's a tradeoff Brian Kelly gladly took, and would take again.

BK signed off for generational family wealth, and again, would do the same thing again.
You didn’t answer the question . How is BK doing at LSU?

Gotcha. So his public declaration that he was going to LSU because they care more about football and to win was bullshit?!

FSU

Hard to fathom that happening to a Program like FSU but it goes to show you it can happen to anyone.

Those guys were unbeaten last year.

Look at Michigan-----not as bad but they still stink.

Their opponent in the Championship Game Washington stinks.

Welcome to the new reality.
The thing is though FSU is significantly worse than the others mentioned. They're not even remotely competitive. In 2016 ND was 4- 8 and it was awful but 7 of the 8 losses were one score games or less. They were in every game except for the season finale at USC. FSU is a total meltdown.

Noah Grubbs!

Hey all, live in central Florida and my daughter cheers for her high school. They play Lake Mary and Noah Grubbs this weekend in the playoffs. Looking forward to getting a look at this future fighting Irish.
Interested to hear your thoughts

Would like to hear about his arm strength (I don't think it's taken a jump this year unfortunately). His mobility has taken a step although he is pretty limited athletically

UVA is a good football team

Agreed. I don’t take any game for granted with this team after the NIU debacle. And despite how well we are playing, I am really sensitive to the amount of talent we are missing due to injuries. Freeman is doing a good job of keeping the NIU memories front and center, but still hard to get up for every game. Army’s record and style should be sufficient motivation; and playing a talented rival in USC at the colosseum to get into the playoffs is more than enough motivation for that game; but UVA is going to require discipline and team wide focus to show up and play at the level where backups are playing in the fourth. Hope that’s the case.
I took a few games for granted since NIU including FSU but not this week

Even if Notre Dame wins out

It gets complicated if all 3 teams win out big the rest of the way.

Unfortunately this is the recurring problem with the BAD loss to NIU, as it opens debate in this specific scenario.

But, even if this scenario plays out, fine, GA or AL might leapfrog ND...but I say 90%+ chance ND gets in by running the table big, one way or the other.

The SEC is a good conference. Credit is due. I watch enough and see pretty good football teams.

Most of all, I imagine if ND played on the SEC...multiple losses are possible given this Irish team.
Notre Dame is 10-2//9-3 playing a normal SEC schedule, IMO.

9-3 playing a Florida or Georgia schedule is playoff worthy, IMO.

Even if Notre Dame wins out

So you don’t think there’s any debate about a 10-2 Georgia or Alabama leapfrogging a 1 loss (NIU) Notre Dame

Anytime BK loses is a good day. End of story.

I dont' think his issues at ND with winning the big ones was all on him. ND as a program makes sure we have a hard time with that. But BK was an ass and how he left ND and the nonsense theatrics at LSU when he was hired was icing on the cake. I will always root for anyone that is playing LSU because of him. Shame too, I actually kind of like the Bayou Bengals.
👍

Even if Notre Dame wins out

SC is going to be tough. It usually is especially in LA. With that said , I agree the Irish are starting to really gel. The only concern is on the offensive side. They have had some good drives but also some not so good. The weapons on offense are there. I would love to see more consistency. Hopefully they continue to improve and of course stay healthy

You said it all. Let's see. Hopefully the OL, RL, and Denbrock gel and are good enough. It remains a burden of proof, even if they've been overall evolving and improving.

For me, it seems the ceiling is determined by RL throwing longer...can that part of his game actually be improved enough?
