Not so fast my friend, “throwing ropes“ at 50+ yards has interceptions written all over it.Guys my sons flag football fields are 50 yards and I can throw the length. I don’t have a strong arm in football terms, throwing 50 yards isn’t a feat. HS QBs are doing this all the time.
I determine strength by the zip a QB can put on pass when he needs to.
For example, I played college baseball at OU and had a good arm, could throw from warning track to home but that isn’t uncommon, what’s uncommon is the guy that can make that same throw on a virtual plane with little deviation from his release. That is throwing on a “rope”.
”Trajectory“ is critical in avoiding interceptions.
