4-0 headed into OSU

Then Duke and Louisville wins that’s 6 wins

Then SC

Win against Pitt that’s 7 W’s

Clemson

End with WF and Stanford both W’s

Honestly, to many question marks to predict OSU, SC and Clemson.

Clemson is down some so that’s 10 wins

But SC and OSU?????

No clue how Parker calls/prepares/adjusts the offense.

Who is the Mayer of this team? The most reliable WR/TE?

Couple questions on the Oline but I like the group overall.

Is ND a run first team or will Parker open the offense???

Defense: The LB spot is my biggest concern. SC/OSU will expose that position.

I definitely see 10 wins as a possibility but that 11,12????? We will see

When you lose to Stanford and Marshall at home the previous season, and that same season struggle with Cal and Navy deep into the game, please do not assume anything.

Great post, love the enthusiasm! So ready for Week 0! But, that four game four week stretch with two elite opponents and two tough opponents on the road is just brutal scheduling. It is going to take a lot to navigate that. Duke especially is going to require some great pregame mental state coaching.

This program lost to Marshall and a 3 win Stanford team last year, no game is easy.

They are locks!!!

And if they are not locks then ND has fallen from where it was a few years ago.

If teams/games outside of the top 25 are “not locks” then ND is in trouble.

I understand what you are saying but Sam will be the difference.

Are you going to predict 300 yards rushing against OSU like you said last year?

They aren't locks. They never were

And those teams will be in the 20 to 40ish range.

Some on the road, some prior or after big games.

None are locks.

They aren't locks for Clemson either.

Quality teams

Key word “last year”.

No QB “last year”
Sam, who you seem to put a lot of faith in, lost to UNC, NCST, Duke, and Louisville last year. Among his 5 losses. The ND QB that you think didn't exist lost 3 games last year.

I agree with those 9 wins just not the easy part. But your point is valid, from a talent and experience standpoint 9 wins should be expected and if not achieved it would be disappointing.

This team is going to be anywhere between 6-6 and 12-0

Thinking they have 9 wins in the bag is downright ludicrous.. gonna be lots of gutsy victories to get where they wanna go.

I don't think offensive play calling is going to be as good but QB development should be much better.

Can we get some of the young frisbee catching dogs on board with Hartman? We could be looking at Quinn Clausen production..

Put Sam on ND last season and ND might have 1 loss to OSU

Again, anytime Duke football makes nervous, ND has some issues.

Basketball yes!!! Football never

Man, you guys are saying NC state, Duke, Pitt, are games that could go either way????

Unbelievable!!!!!

Those games will not be close

Nothing within 10 points

Just stop.

Bama beat a 5 win team last year by 4 points.

Georgia beat a 6 win team last year by only 4 points

Michigan beat an 8 win team last year by 7 points

Those 4 teams are quality teams that we need to play well against and by no means are locks

No bye week. A lot of away games. Tough schedule. Glad we have a lot of vets on this team. Gonna be a gauntlet to get to 10 wins.

Wake Forest personnel does not resmble Notre Dame personnel.
Wake had NFL WR's in 2022. ND had zero.

Sam threw 6 picks in 2 games against NCST and Louisville as a 5th year senior.

ND QB last year threw 6 picks in his first year as a starter. For the entire year.

But you claim every player on ND team was better than the Wake team except the QB?

I hope your right.

So you cherry pick some examples???

For everyone of those awful examples I can show you 3 where those same teams dominated lesser opponents

Do close games happen when you play against lesser opponents? Of course they do.

But to be concerned about 2 basketball teams Duke and the Wolfpack, that is very unnecessary.

9 wins aren't guaranteed in CFB, unless your name is someone like an Alabama, Georgia, or Ohio State.

I disagree. If you are ND football you should expect minimum 10 wins. Anything less is a failure. 9 is underachieving.

So yes, I am guaranteeing at least 9 but it better be 10 at least.

No, those teams beat WF.
6 picks and 11 sacks. In 2 games. Against his rivals he lost all 3 games. As a 5th year senior. They slapped Sam silly. Lil Drew threw 6 in 10 games as a soph.

I hope you're right, the data just isn't there.

Your 25-year-old data isn't there either.
