He wants a bag. I doubt he stays in the Midwest. His family is toxic according to other boards.
Carr actually committed in June. Months after Moore was a silent commit. The staff knew things were getting shaky with Moore but they weren't ever going to turn down Carr no matter when he wanted to commit. He was a 24 recruit and they loved him.
The staff and commits treated Moore like a commit. What me and you think about is irrelevant to what they thought
I’ve been reading a lot of people saying Scott is severely overrated and has high bust potential. I have no idea. I don’t watch a lot of film on d linemen, just get enamored with stars like most others. Based on the higher than usual number of people saying he has high bust potential, I’m not super worried about Scott. But I’d like to see us get someone to replace him. A nice solid 4 star kid with just as high a ceiling.
if USC, Bama, Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, & Oklahoma start losing most of their top local targets I’ll start believing ND isn’t irrelevant to high school players. when we improve upon even 1 of Kelly’s 3 best classes I’ll believe we are improving our recruiting.
He has been to Campus several times. He lives 90 minutes away thus no need to use official at this time as he can use it to tour / vacation further away
A local kid once ready to commit to ND that is now barely a long shot. It’s beginning to appear like a theme from the DL and safety positions. Who’s to blame? We don’t seem to have said issues at any other positions.
And it's not going to work, just like it didn't work with KK,DM & PB...He's not coming and that's tragic cause' this kid is a difference maker from a Catholic prep school in Chicago! NIL will be the death of ND cause' these kids want their $$$ now and ND will never play that way!! Once upon a time ND would never lose this kind of scenario!!! BTW this has nothing to do with MF at all, between NIL & ND itself he has no chance!!!!

I’m tired of hearing talking heads say we can win a title or that we are on our way. Nobody sane or a serious follower of recruiting and college football actually believes that if we aren’t able to recruit 5 star players anymore. We shall see how this one shakes out. Adapt or die.
I think there’s a chance this ends up a P Bowen situation where he flips to ND on signing day. Once it sets in that Miami is a long way from home, trash on and off the field, and ND is good at football, and actually has his best interest in mind.

Scott is exactly the kind of player we need to begin to close the gap between us and the very top tier Programs. A couple months ago he was damn near certain Irish, then trending to Miami, and the new buzz is trending to Michigan. I don’t think this reflects on a young man playing the field one against another looking for the biggest NIL deal, or just an impressionable young man who falls in love with his last date. Rather, my impression is that Scott is a serious young man going about his due diligence. Frankly, I don’t think any Of these analysts/writers have any inside knowledge of Scott’s thinking. He’ll announce soon and whomever he selects, will spend the remainder of the year fighting to hold on to his commitment as schools, including us, will continue to recruit him.

Ski….I think the mom has been seeing green for some time now….Irish green that is. Scott would be all Irish if mom alone was making this decision. Can’t imagine the allure of a place like Miami to a 17 yr old kid from Indiana. Throw instant money into the equation, and impressionable can morph into easily manipulated by the adults in the room. Takes a very mature 17 yr old who is told he is NFL starter material to see beyond football and instant gratification. Hope Scott proves to be one.
First of all he's not from Indiana he's from Chicago which, is nothing like anything in Indiana! Secondly the bag upfront is undefeated for 5 stars against ND since this NIL bullshit started! Nothing else really matters at this point...either fall in line like all the big boys have or keep missing out on 5 star, backyard, difference maker talent!

To hear “experts” say we lost Keeley because Bama has a record of developing D line for nfl is bs. Sure it’s true. But any kid who is good will make it to the nfl. Nfl rosters are filled with players from nothing schools Keeley should never have been lost. Scott is now the litmus test
You’re right! Had read some reference to him being in Notre Dame’s backyard, and assumed he was an Indiana kid. The NCAA malfeasance re NIL is ruining college football. We better commit to playing some acceptable form of this NIL game, or the game itself will pass us by.

This irks me as ND brought MF with all the hoopla but have failed to add training table,improve Gug, failed to encourage NIL and have standards that most 5 stars will nevr be able to get in at ND. It's like they try to play the underdog with enthusiasim and put CMF behind the eight ball . If this doesn't change in administration level,ND will never win another FB championship. Nobody in media cares about ancient past history but ND lives on that alone.

M Williams told ND he’s no longer visiting. Apparently ND is moving on from him. We let Wafle walk. Driskell says Al Washington is all in on Rushing and Scott and nobody else left on the board (besides Sevillano). Them or bust. This is odd.
After missing out on 2023 class you need way more talent in 2024. Williams, thomas, mullins, rushing, scott, sevillano are all more talented than anyone from the 2023 class.

You realize he's recruiting at a higher level than Elston right?
He has some big misses, but his class last year, was still better than traditional Elston class
Letting Wafle go for Sevillano was dumb as hell. Wafle is a much better player.
That said, my concern is more with our new OL coach, or lack thereof.
