The Irish are 23 for 23 in the Red Zone---- 21 of them touchdowns.

That, low turn overs, and playing tough defense gets you to the playoffs.

*** Wimbush is a very positive leader who listens to his coaches and his team mates love him.

*** His receivers will love him more once he gets his passing rhythm which will come.

Go Irish !!
Beat the Tar Heels !!

Tony Rice looked inept as a passer at times. It's about moving the offense forward to the end zone. It's not about how.

Not sure why this isn’t talked about more among us, and on a national level. Simply an outstanding record to date, made more so by our ineptitude in recent years. Dual threat Wimbush, the play of our OL, the play calling, etc...are all major contributors to this incredible level of success.

I'm afraid Josh will be gone after this season. BW should be just fine. The staff believes so as does the Irish beat writers who have watched him intently during the practice sessions. He is only a few games into his first season as a starter. It's almost like he is serving his apprenticeship while under fire. He will get better only if his OL and WRs get there too. He knows and the staff knows that he locks into a Receiver and his passing is erratic. He will get better.

A great college quarterback does not always equate to an elite professional quarterback. I would take Wimbush over Kizer, Clausen type.

Just the same as I would take Tebow type. It's all about winning folks.

You;d pick two poor passers over a good and an excellent one? the only one that makes sense is TT if you commit to a run first, and run 2nd&3rd style of zone read.

Ya if Kelly switches him out his is being typical Kelly. Oh crap things are going pretty well, how can I throw a wrench in the machine to make it run out of sync.

When Wimbush gains some confidence in what he's seeing and starts pulling the trigger just a little bit sooner, he'll be tough.

But between taking care of the ball and the way he's running in the redzone, there's a lot of good stuff happening.

I like his demeanor. I also like how Kelly's handling him.

Only Georgia had the studs to nullify ND's O-line and shut down the run. They sold out to shut down BW. If this kid can develop his arm then the sky is the limit.

Look out next year and years to follow.
