Lets compare stats first.
As a true freshman Josh Adams ran the ball 117 times for 869 yards (7.1 yards per carry) with 6 TD rushes including 70 and 99 yard TD rushes.
Josh also had 7 receptions for 42 yards and 1 TD reception.
As a true freshman in 2013 T. Folston ran the ball 88 times for 494 yards (5.3 yards per carry) for 3 TD rushes.
T. Folston had 5 pass receptions for 35 yards and no Tds.
As a sophomore in 2014 T.Folston ran the ball 175 times for 911 yards (5.1 yards per carry) for 6 rushing Tds
Folstons longest run of the year was for 26 yards.
T. Folston improved from his frosh season with 18 pass receptions for 190 yards and 1 TD.
I believe Josh Adams will also improve as a receiver out of the backfield as a sophomore just like T. Folston did. With a year of the offense under his belt and with his great confidence Josh will get the ball thrown to him much more.
*** T. Folston is an excellent running back and should get a large amount of carries and is very good getting the tough yards consistently. He also should improve as a pass receiving threat.
*** I believe Josh Adams is a very special football player. He hits the hole quickly and hits second gear and he is off to the races. He is good in the red zone except for the fumble against BC.
Josh came in with a huge weight on his shoulders He became second man in the first game of his college football career and then after CJ got hurt he became the main guy during a playoff run. He played like a veteran and made play after play without grandstanding or gloating.
I believe Josh Adams behind our great Oline will not only be good but will become a superstar as a sophomore after another year in a college weight room.
*** T. Folston and Josh Adams will be a TWO headed monster. We need them to both stay healthy and split carries to keep fresh.
Lets hear some arguments for Folston or Adams being the best. An argument for either one is legit !
