This place is hysterical. I don't think folks understand gallows humor.
I'll keep trying.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I believe Kelly must win a big bowl game next year a new years 6 and preferably a playoff win . Also the D must be an improvement if not he probably will lose the admin and the BOT

He can get there, but it will take an epiphany and outside help.
Do you see how 'bama just lines up and knocks the crap out of you? We can do that too if we commit to it. Often we have a 30+ pound advantage on the line. Sometimes 50..... Now it may take a while to wear that opponent out, but it will eventually happen.
Did you happen to notice 'bama's jumbo package? Holy crap, they put 2 d linemen in the backfield with Henry....wicked.....close.to 900 pounds.Of thunder.
We often put Luatua alone back there in a one dimensional role....shockingly, he has yet to.catch a pass.......
swabrick should bring in a team of consultants for a top down evaluation. If we aren't going to pay a big time coach then it is up to us to provide kelly with the training to get there.....

His best win sadly was probably against USC this year. That is one time I can honestly say ND was amped up under Kelly.

Isn't that sad? A rival regular season game is the most hyped I've seen a ND team under Kelly.
Tons of opportunity but the energy level in big games just seems to elude us.

My fondest Sun Bowl memory was Unabomber Kiffin losing to a lowly Georgia Tech team.

Polamalu allegedly belted him.... classic....

Next year? It's a rebuilding season now. It's time for the youth to develop. ND won't sniff a major bowl until 2017 or '18 now.

Going into the 2014 FSU game Kelly told the ABC announcers that 2015 was "the year." He failed. Again. And will continue to do so. ND needs a brighter offensive minded coach with a quality D-Coordinator.

My dad always said, "in every game there is a winner and a loser". BK has had a nice run of wins before losing the Fiesta Bowl.

The seeming lack of energy displayed in bowl games is troubling. Other than the Music City Bowl, which I credit Zaire who is a natural leader, we've looked flat. It's another reason why #8 needs to be QB1 next season, but that's another discussion.

I think Kizer and Zaire are going to be a fabulous 1-2 punch. Both their legs can win games. Spring is going to be real interesting. Not to be outrageous, but it's 2 capable guys fighting for the spot. Lisch/Montana anyone? Hopefully, these two will merge like Joe/Rusty into NFL talent too.

With Folston back and the emergence of Adams we've got some horses. kelly needs to figure out quickly how to get Wimbush on the field.

As for the bowl games, we really needed that Fiesta win. It was doable, but we didn't bring our A game....opportunity lost....Stanford was worse....
