I get a kick out of the negative wonder expressed by many of us over Perse posting in excess of 29000 times here. Seems over the top and in the get a life category of derision. I'm in week four of temporarily limited to staying in the house, and limited to what I can do for the time being, and I find myself coming here and posting a hell of a lot more than what is my norm, and I'm thankful for the enjoyment of bantering back and forth with fellow ND fans. If this were a permanent limitation, I can fully appreciate how one can get to 29000 posts in several years time. No longer a critic of Perse or anyone else closing in on 30000 posts, but of course, that moves the focus to content, and then rightful criticism rains anew.

Well, we all can do what we choose to do, but I get why posters say what they do about him.

Pers has been registered since May of 2010. His 29,000 posts equates to 4461 per year, or a little over 12 per day each and every day of the year.

That's a little over the top, IMO.

I've been a member since 2012 and have less than 2200 posts, but I suspect I have averaged twelve posts or so per day the past month. My point being, we don't know nor should we, Perse' personal circumstances, and we shouldn't deride his number of posts, but rather the content of same. Trust me when I say how thankful I am for the distraction and enjoyment I get from visiting and posting while I fight the boredom of my limitations. Perhaps the same is true of Perse on a permanent basis?

Telx1, with Perse, it's not the quantity, but the quality of his posts. They mostly add nothing, and are mostly negative. I don't think the guy even knows what college is; he certainly didn't go, and certainly didn't play anything. So if your an ND grad (as I am), or any grad for that matter, his crap gets real old real fast.

I played small college ball and graduated from a State university, and agree that his negative and sometimes unbelievably off the wall ignorant posts get old real fast, but don't agree that you need to have played or be a college grad to come to the same conclusion.

Telx1, we can agree on that. I was trying to point out his ignorance of ND really. My thought for him is, if he thinks ND sucks so bad, then go elsewhere. It's ok on a message board to be critical, but after a while the constant negativity, an constant repeating ones self, just gets old. Basically add to the discourse, or shut the hell up.

Lol, I've been here for quote a while, but imagine how many posts I'd have if they didn't take half your break to read?

I choose not to think about the number of words I've posted on this forum hahahaha

I was hoping he was going to head to western Kentucky to stalk his hero Stanford.

There has been alot of positive things happening since coach Holtz left

I know , but there are a few here who have been overcome with negativity to the extreme. Every post. Every thread. Every comment. Every day. Ad nauseam. Over and over. The same message. The same contributors. Same Same Same.Every fraction of problem is BK and Jack's fault. Then, some idiot is going to make a negative finger pointing comment about BK and Paqui's wonderful charity work? That is about as low and despicable as an anonymous poster can go. If we are to be adults and self police, then all of us should start with our own content, starting with this childish negativity about anything associated with the program.

Well let's hope good things are coming the Irish way so good things can be the main topic

You would be surprised by the number of replies I never post. You have to stop and let it cook a while before pressing send. I doubt old 29,000 does that since quantity seems to matter with him. My post are govern by the content of the threads. No need to post when there's a hurricane of negativity raining on the message board.

The "Sewing Circle" probably has a combined 40,000 plus posts, 40,000 plus opinions and zero meaningful contributions to the forum.

Somebody should really contact The Guinness Book of World Records. I just can't wait to hear from the ladies after Monday Nights Championship game. The final dose of football illiteracy for the 2016 season!! lol!

Mr "nothing" coach Shaw proves your ignorance weekly
And you want posters to take you seriously

Speaking of Sonny and Cher. I'm going to see Al Stewart (Time Passages, Year of the Cat) at a winery in Chicago of all places. I'm also going to see Dennis DeYoung (lead singer and main song writer for Styx in their glory years). His band and he sounds exactly like Styx during their glory years more than the re-made Styx that is touring now. Not everything is about ND football.

So then the beat goes on, and nothing really changes

Guess when a poster goes low, you could go high. :) This board needs a moderator. I usually just scroll past the insults or log off if it is tempting to smack back. Now, I have do have a weakness for outing rivals trolling the board.:D

......folks that want to post smack should visit the Smack Board.

Saw Styx in concert at an HC at Rose-Hulman many years ago. Back when going to concerts didn't cost you a kidney.

I remember those days. I seen The Monsters of Rock in he 80s 12 bands for 30 bucks

Now I just bought 2 tickets to see Blake Shelton (My Wife is a huge fan) and Paid 325$ for good seat...Not great seats.

Styx was a huge part of my high school years . At the time I thought they were the best American band before Van Halen

Don't laugh at this, but, last year I saw "Australian Bee Gees". They sounded exactly like the originals and looked like them through all their different fashion styles. Played it all, from the early years through the disco years and beyond. As good a tribute show as I have seen since "Beatlemania" with a symphony orchestra. Outstanding. This coming from a guy who has seen everyone from the Jackson Five to Pink Floyd to The Moody Blues to CSN&Y to The Zombies.

I saw the monster of rock concert back in the later 1980's. ,Van Halen was the head line band with Sammy. At the time I really wanted to see Diamond David Lee Roth but now I miss the days of Sammy.

I saw Roger Waters "The Wall" about 5 years ago in Indy. That was awesome concert.

That's the one I'm talking about.

David Lee Roth was the ultimate front man, but Sammy brought much more to the band.
