I recall he was looking for other jobs and BC canned him because of that.

By the way, I just googled him and he still is at Georgia State.

He interviewed for an NFL head coach job (maybe Jets or Eagles) after being warned by the BC AD that doing so would result in him being dismissed. Hence, he was dismissed. But I think he did end up in the NFL, just not as a head coach.

this is the most bizarre coaching retention I can ever remember! more crazy than the Jets hiring Charlie Winner (related to Weeb E.)

The thing is nothing will change 16-17-18.

For me the W's are important but getting a high character guy in next is just as important. The last few seasons have tarnished anything ND. And there is one person responsible for that.
