Kelly stated the obvious, that Golson had a good spring. Said he was progressing on some things ....typical post spring coach speak....following me? He also didn't name EG starter....hmmmm....not unexpected with EG's ball protection issues, struggles with blitzes, and poor leadership skills.....hence why Golson transferred. Period. If Golson couldn't believe he would beat out MZ, best that he move on. Don't want your QB to be that weak in the mind.

Oh, you are wrong, Golson was "ranked" last year after his first 7 games for the Heisman, FWIW. He was in top 3 after FSU game .....in fact, ABC/ESPN did a big comparison with Winston and EG before the FSU game....and then he shit the bed against ASU and didn't recover. He has exceptional throwing talent, but was average in dissecting defenses and a weak leader....the majority of the team was moving to follow the MZ persona, especially after EG quit during Ville and USC games...guess you missed that too....Kelly was giving EG time to step up over the summer, while keep MZ in play as he earned it with work ethic and film study and his play against SC and LSU...nothing wrong there....unless you wanted Kelly to lie to Golson to keep him around....respect that he didn't pull an Urban...
Loved how you state that Golson was fed up with Kelly, and that is why he left. Where is your proof? Stop spreading this rumors, now!!! ....yet Golson didn't announce after the season, but only weeks after the spring game...and that Kelly also should have pulled him earlier from games....yep, you have all bases covered there....Kelly at fault for being too rough on EG....Kelly at fault for staying too long with EG ....about sum it up?

Where did I say Golson wasn't ranked last year? Have fun finding that... Of course Golson was in the Heisman hunt last year. I think he was in it for almost 8(?) weeks. At one point he was as high as # 1 in, I believe, the USA Today poll. I brought that fact to light elsewhere on the board.
