Lots of chatter out there about another possible commitment today, so thought I would just share what I have heard about Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star safety and Florida commit Spencer Perry, who isn't taking interview requests right now.
Perry said in a text that Notre Dame is a "special place" – and there's a reason he's saying that.
Notre Dame feels real good about where they stand with Perry right now, but they aren't pushing for a commitment because of one primary reason – Tony Jones. Jones, who is committed to Notre Dame, is close friends with Perry, and the staff feels that there is no need to press for a pledge right now, when they know a top recruiter is waiting for Perry in Bradenton.
So what does that mean?
Not saying that Perry won't commit today, but the flip is certainly a possibility, and it looks like it might happen in the near future, just not necessarily today.
