The Fighting Irish have a chance to solidify themselves as one of the best teams in the country and can do a lot to completely bury Bryce Love as a Heisman contender.

By all accounts, Bryce Love is a wonderful human being and an above average football player. I just don't see the production from him that warrants Heisman consideration. JMO.

IMO, Bryce Love is a very very good running back. The key to containing him is to penetrate at the LOS and hit him in the backfield. Once he gets past the LOS he is outstanding in breaking tackles, in making guys miss, and his acceleration and top end speed is elite. His numbers are down thus far because his OL is allowing this kind of penetration, and his blocking fullback is slow in committing to his blocking. Just hope their OL doesn’t get their timing and communication jelling against us. Once they do, Love’s numbers will explode and justify the Heisman talk
