W/ DK gone and having to break in a first year started - how many wins does ND get next season - 5 wins // 6 wins // maybe 7 - The question is though - Is the following:

Does Jack hand out another lifeline to BK by saying that he had to break in new QB and even though we lost 5 games - we need to give BK another year ?

This mess may carry over to 2019 w/ BK at the helm.

Not good when kids leave your program - hard to build a winning program when your best players / kids bail out at their first chance to do so.

"Not good when kids leave the program" -- so, how do the other schools (OSU, BAMA to name a few) do it? Last year, OSU had no less than 8 -9 kids declare for the draft -- and had to replace MANY starters -- how did that work out for them?

Were not OSU or BAMA and will never Be OSU or BAMA w/ Jack and BK at the helm. We can't afford kids to leave early or transfer as grads at their first chance - we do not have the same depth as those schools.

We need a coach that the players LOVE playing for - A coach the players would run through a brick wall for. A coach who knows how to build team chemistry.

ND players - "put up w/ BK" because they have too. All the throwing of players under the bus takes a toll on how well the head coach is actually respected and liked.

ND will win 6 games - if their fortunate next season.

ND football - really - ND is a women's basketball school.

It worked out well. They have a good coach that knows what he's doing.

Act like Irish fans and instead of tantrums, post a message of support for BW. The question is this. Because of the lack of any experience behind BW, does BK, Sanford, Denbrock or whoever the heck is calling plays limit the called runs for BW or do they run the offense as planned?

No one has any freaking idea how many games we will win next year. To speculate is stupid. Why not take the approach that maybe, just maybe, Wimbush is the answer. Hey this season sucked, BK didn't get fired; ok so be it. I'll still be rooting my ass of for my school.

Kizer is apparently projected to be a first round draft choice. If that is the case, who can blame him?

Nobody - except for BK who named as a Captain for 2017 ? Why did BK pull that stunt ? Why did BK try to mess with his head w/ that move ?

BK should of been counseling him to leave and be looking out for the kids best interest.

BK is nothing more than a politician -

It's amazing that the usual suspects are spending so much negative energy on something they have no say in while spending no energy at all congratulating DK on his decision or at the very least showing BW some support on his next big step as the Irish QB.

Great move on DK's part. He got out from under the QB killer.

I'm happy for Kizer. I really like Kizer and would love to see him play one more year. I look forward to Wimbush. I am surprised Kizer left, thought he had one more year in him. Maybe the Saints will draft him.

LSU had 9 juniors come out in the same year recently, Bama has a handful every year, as does OSU. If that's a bad sign, we need more bad signs.

Brandon Wimbush is going to be a stud. Not a worry in the world. Alize Jones will be back next year as well. With all of these young recievers gaining so much experience this year. Plus the o-line will remain veteran loaded and deep at every spot

BK's teams perform significantly better when he is worried about the QB (Rees, Golson, etc.). Imagine how effective it might be to rely on McGlinchey, Nelson, etc and a RUN game with Adams and Williams toting the rock...

9-3, 10-2!

Wimbush for Heisman!

Another soft schedule should go a long way if he can somehow solve the defensive woes.

Yep, not a worry in the world. Everything's Coming Up Roses. Can't wait.

Kizer was a captain for one day. What is that ? Cannot blame him for going pro..... I'm more concerned about:
1-Does McGlinchey and nelson go too ? devastating for a new QB
2- Who is the QB coach ? Sanford was a good coach .

4-8 next year. That coach is PJ Fleck.

It's funny. You guys were all predicting that ND would finish 4-8 even with Kizer at QB. Now you are all acting like we are doomed because he is turning pro. WTF?

I don't even think it comes down so much to the QB. Who is the DC and what kind of production do the Irish get out of the front 7 particularly the DL. If there is no improvement there with a 1st year starter at QB could be another rough year. I think it's too early to tell anything. Let's see what the defensive staff changes are and how the team looks at the end of spring.

ND used to be and beat bama but ND has on it's own opted out of big time fb. It's time for ND to get back to big time fb or go division 2 fb. Right now ND fb is neither hot or cold just luke warm. My prediction is 5-7 In 2017 3-9 in 2018 and by 2019 ND will be at a cross roads and the future of ND fb will then be determined.

At least ND has a division 2 coach ready for a drop down in competition!
