Vegas-opening with Irish as 9.5 dogs

We lost to a 28 point dog at home. You think this team needs motivation? Move the line to double digits, Freeman will eat it up.
This is the same talk ND fans were using in the last 3 playoff/bcs championship appearances (prior to 2024) only to get predictably ran over by a much better team in each of those games.
I don't think ND gets ran over vs OSU but I don't think the game will be that competitive either. Maybe a 2 possession win on OSU part but I can see them going up early and the game never really being competitive or ever in doubt.
OSU DF+ (defense) is ranked #1 and their offense is #3. Notre Dame is #7 in offense and #3 in defense. No matter what leaf you turn over or what angle you look at this matchup from OSU is clearly the better team.
We shall see, that's why they play the games as my dad used to say. I will not be surprised one bit if ND wins this game!🍀
Well why play the game then? Everyone knows Ohio State has a better roster. Everyone thought Georgia and Penn State had better rosters too, but we know what happened on the football field.
This ND team has heart and they play as a team, things you can’t measure. 9-0 in their last 9 vs ranked opponents, beat the SEC champs, top 5 PSU and have been winning handily. Notre Dame also has a coaching edge IMO.
Ohio State can look past ND all they want and I guarantee you this ND team will take the game from them. 13 game win streaks don’t just happen. Make no mistake, there is nothing fluky about this season.
I forgot to ask, what did F+ predict would happen in the Ohio State/Michigan game this year?
Tough. I went to the local Texas gamewatch in the 4th quarter. Right after they sang The Eyes of Texas, right after, the Horns started chanting Notre Dame Notre Dame!

A completely healthy ND would probably have this game down to 0 or 1 or 2 points

I’m surprised it’s only 9.5. I figured 13 or 14. But it’s one game and anything can happen. ND can go in and just let it rip. Nothing to lose. Nobody expects them to win. Which is fine with me. Don’t forget , Ohio State has 2 losses. It’s not like they are unbeatable. Texas was right there. So you never know. Anyway , this team is special. I would never count them out. Go Irish!!!☘️ ☘️☘️

Survive OSUs early storm. Get into the 2nd half with the game close.....then the pressure is on, and someone cracks. 1 or 2 mistakes or big plays will turn the tide. We know that we're tough as hell. If the game turns into a street fight late, I think we can steal it.

Vegas point spreads are not made by sport analysts . All Vegas wants is equal betting on both teams. It does not mean that they think OSU will beat us by that....they simply don't care. Just bet.
That's exactly what it means. The opening line is all about what their system predicts is the separation between these quality of teams.
F plus sees it the same way Notre Dame are big dogs in that system as well
Ohio State probably wins 3 of 4. But in one game scenario, we absolutely have a chance to win this game.
This is a fair point which is the only thing I'm holding my hat on as a fan. Anybody could beat anybody in a four-quarter game so Notre Dame should be commended for playing themselves into this opportunity. It just sucks that Notre Dame isn't more tenacious operationally so that these games aren't such a long shot when ND exceeds expectations and plays their way into them
