Notre Dame cornerback Clarence Lewis has entered the transfer portal, Inside ND Sports has learned. Because he's a graduate transfer, he doesn't have to wait for the April 16-30 spring transfer portal window to open.
Lewis was working as a starting cornerback in practice this week due to Benjamin Morrison being sidelined with an injury. Though if the Irish were playing in a game without Morrison, I'd expect Jaden Mickey and Christian Gray to be the starters.
Lewis would be a solid depth piece to have, but it's hard to hang onto those these days.

Update: Lewis committed to Syracuse on Tuesday morning.
