I especially mean a top 5 class. Obviously having one doesn’t guarantee you’re winning a title but it means you have a better shot & this fact can’t be argued. The odd thing is this is the first season in a long time where teams have a shot at the NC which didn’t have a top 5 class, particularly Miami & Wisky although I think both get beat this weekend are out of playoffs. That still leaves Auburn with a 7th ranked class in ‘15 and Sooners which also had a 7th ranked class last year. Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio St, USC, all top 5 classes.
In terms of playoffs I think it will be 1.winner of SEC title game, tough call but I’m thinking Georgia gets payback 2. Clemson 3. Sooners 4. Bama unless Wisky pulls it off and Ohio St shouldn’t be considered with their BS schedule and season overall. If it wasn’t the Buckeyes they wouldn’t be considered, it’s a sham.
Lastly I will say that if we get lucky with a special QB then it would be possible to win it all, but if nothing else just be a competitive team each game. Even with the average defenses we have each season the QB makes the difference. I don’t mean a special 5* QB but a kid that just becomes a stud. A couple examples would be Mariota at Oregon & Boykin at TCU although I know there are more.
