1) Marvin Wilson DT, Houston, TX, Episcopal,
6'4" 320 List

Marvin Wilson is an absolute beast, 5 stars and ranked as the #1 recruit in the nation by Rivals. There are VERY FEW offensive linemen capable of stopping him. Whoever gets him will have an instant big time threat on the D-line.

24) Walker Little OL, Houston, TX, Episcopal
6'7" 295 List

Walker Little is also a 5 star player ranked #24 in the nation by Rivals and he is a teammate of Marvin Wilson. As mentioned, there are VERY FEW O-linemen capable of stopping Marvin Wilson...........but, Walker Little is one of them. In fact, he goes against Wilson every day in practice and they both are the better for it.

For any team that gets Wilson it will be a very big deal. For any team that gets Little it will also be a very big deal. And,,,,,,if there is a team that manages to land both of these teammates.........well, expect to see them challenge for the playoffs in the not too distant future! That is if you believe games are won and lost in the trenches.

Why would we (a ND forum) watch for these two? Neither have been offered by ND, thus neither are our concern?

Seriously, one had 25 teams listed, not ND.
The other has 32 teams listed, and the ONLY team of the 32 that didn't offer was ND.

Obviously neither side is concerned with the other.

I'll respond for you duo, because they both have interest in FSU and I'm also a troll.

They must have FSU offers and for Duo, that means post it on the ND board.

.....don't think Chant allows any talk of football recruiting on their free board either, you want recruiting information you pay for a premium board.

Well, that's too bad for Duo then, because it seems one has zero interest in FSU & the other had FSU in his top 3, but FSU has backed off because he is Bama bound.

ND is on Little's list but it doesn't show that he was offered? There is no telling what team Wilson and Little will end up with. A lot may depend on PT immediately available.

Meanwhile, how about Coach Kelly going after these guys: (all 5 stars)

12) Tyler Shelvin DT, Lafayette, LA, Notre Dame, (a 5 star ND guy no less!)
6'3" 300
Louisiana State

or

3 Trevon Grimes WR, Fort Lauderdale, FL, St. Thomas Aquinas
6'4" 196
List

or

18) Wyatt Davis OL, Bellflower, CA, St. John Bosco
6'3" 328
List

Shelvin has committed to LSU.
Davis has top 5, ND not on it.
Grimes has top 5, ND not on it. (Soft Ohio St)

So three more guys not going to ND.

Wilson is Bama bound according to two other recruiting sites (not Rivals). FSU has moved on.

These are young guys and for many reasons they could change their minds as young guys often do. For example, if a player was leaning toward Alabama knowing he would sit on the bench and possibly red shirt he just might get very excited about the prospect of early playing time with a name brand school. Other reasons might be educational or cultural as well. Whose to know what passes through the minds of young recruits? Just sayin.....

And as far as what recruiting services say............well, there's a lot of politics involved there too. None of that is cast in stone. And if you can get some of the high caliber guys to visit that just might make a positive impression on the rest of your recruits? Some guys like Saban and Meyer are master recruiters with big time recruiting mills behind them but even they swing and miss sometimes.

Yes, they can change their minds. But why would ND waste their time with guys who ND didn't even make their first cut? If they do change it will be to one of the other four teams in their top five. ND is busy going after others.
