echo: another unaware poster took exception to my opinions on the defense. You agreed. He called me a fake fan. You agreed. I came back with a flurry to point out who is a fake fan and who are message board posers. I set the record straight on what the definition of a fake fan is. You are standing in a mud puddle with nowhere to go. You don't have to apologize to me but I suggest you do so with Reggie, Tom Gatewood, and BK for disagreeing with their honest and educated assessment.
I will type slower so you'll understand. Nowhere did I disagree with the analysis of the game. If you think I was apologizing to your you're denser than I thought. Yes, I liked the post where you were referred to as a fake fan. I thought it was funny. I have the utmost respect for Mr Brooks and Mr gatewoods analysis from yesterday. I thought both were spot on. That said them playing for the Irish doesn't t make them more knowledgeable about the game than myself because I played at lowly MSU.
I don't agree with a lot of Toby's posts, but I sure as hell recognize and appreciate his fan resume, as it's being called. No reason for anyone to disparage Toby for listing his fan credentials when responding to a post questioning same. By the same token, I don't agree with a lot of Echo's posts, but I appreciate that he played big time college football at MSU, coaches and teaches high school, and this experience should not be dismissed and disparaged as though insignificant towards an informed opinion. I think our differences of opinions in all things political are carrying over to our football posts, and that's regrettable.
I know. You've been known to "pat yourself on the back" a time or two and remind the board that you played college football and coach HS football, especially reminding less football educated fans that you have played college football and coach HS football and know more than them so only the football educated should voice an opinion. Don't say you never do because you do do it. When certain analysts speak, I listen. You're definitely not one of them. That's just the way it is.
Kelly mentioned Temple having 8 in the box. I expect Georgia and many of ND's opponents to do the same.
He was our 2nd-best receiver down the stretch last year. Hopefully he'll be back soon.
