This is a different team than any of BK's previous.
There is a confidence with this team frankly I haven't seen since Lou Holtz days.
It's only confidence at this point but this team is just one big victory some where, some place, away from getting swagger.
They are so close to that you can just see the confidence in them. They don't panic. They just rise to the moment on what needs done.
It really started with the comeback against Virginia. No other ND team in the last 20 years would have won that game in that situation.
Remove just two turnovers(they had four) against Clemson we win by 10 points. We all know what the world thinks of Clemson.
The temple game. They just seemingly showed no nervousness, wasn't shaky...nothing. They went right down the field with the utmost confidence and scored to win. Why? They had to and just did it.
This team expects to win. Rightfully so. They are so close to being back to the brand name of Notre Dame meaning you are going to lose because they are just better. Alabama has that. Ohio state currently has that. We are right there.
I think a lot of this can be put on Kizer. He is special. Usually a team shares the pulse of its leader. This kid just has that confidence to him. Positive confidence. Our last good team was 2012. How do they compare? They don't. Not even close. That team was great on defense only. This version is not great but good enough on defense. On offense teams don't stop us. Either we score or we stop ourselves.
The committee clearly sees what I speak of too.
