First off, I hope for a speedy recovery for T. Folston, as I suspect we lost him for the year. Anytime a guy leaves due to knee injury and returns to sideline in crutches, likely spells season ending injury. Breaks my heart to see that, as I'm sure he worked his butt off all off season.

Secondly, how stupid must Greg Bryant feel right now? Could have been him getting 98 yards rushing tonight. So disappointed it didn't work out with him.

Thirdly, thank goodness for Kelly moving Prosise to RB. Probably the best position switch Kelly has ever done. He looked very good tonight and as matter of fact, I don't think we'll see much drop off in productivity. However, what does concern me, is Prosise staying healthy, as there are 2 true freshman behind him. Sure they also looked good tonight, especially Adams. I'm not concerned that they don't have the ability to run the football, but more so how quickly are they picking up the scheme of Kelly's offense? How well can they pass block mentally and physically(even with Prosise we don't know how well he can pass block yet)? And lastly, can they handle the pressure and not fumble the ball in a close game? If I'm Coach Denson, I'm putting them through a lot of pass protection drills and strip ball drills every week throughout the year.

Your thoughts.

Adams is a big time player who slipped under the radar screen in HS as a result of a knee injury - Might end up being Kelly's most valuable frosh this season

Adams is electric -- in the post game interview Kelly identified him as having elite speed -- with this OL opening holes Adams can house it at any time . I can't remember us having a RB who goes north south with that kind of speed . I am thrilled with what Isaw from him tonight . Procise and Adams will put a lot of pressure on defenses this season . We have an elite receiving corp a wonderful passer in Malik -- this is really going to be fun

Thank you for reminding me about Zaire. Having a mobile athletic QB like him, does take some pressure off the RB situation. He got 9 rushes tonight, which is just about right. Some nights he may have to run a little more, especially if the WRs/TEs and passing game struggles, but I honestly can't see that being a problem down the road, as this is an extremely talented o-line and receiving corps. Only team that I think could slow down/frustrate the WRs is SC on account of their skilled DBs.

I do not think the offense has changed very much from last year . I do think the OL is much much better . I said earlier that the Bryant loss was big because of the investment the coaching staff put in with him. It's all about reps in practice and knowing all of the responsibilities of the position. The pass pro has always been a difficult for these RB's including Folston. He said this week that he takes pride is his pass pro . That injury caused some problems with the pass protection the 1st half . Adams for example release to the left flat when MZ got sacked. IMO he should have checked blitz before releasing. In the second half they went to more double TE looks ( ace form) and only releasing one TE in a route this game them better pass pro. Denson has his hands full right now with this young group of backs but they are talented and will improve each week. Williams and Adams will be very good. CJ Procise is a very good back. These 3 backs should do fine and it's up to the play calling to put them in good situations. K.I.S.S keep it simple .... and let them run the ball .
