The media piles on...

BK deserves the media onslaught. He is arrogant beyond measure.

How can ND not let him go ? How the hell is he gonna recruit ?

The fact he put a feelers out to USC for that job last year means he should of been let go the day Jack "no cahonies" saw brick found out about it. Not a day later.

ND talks about loyalty. What a crock of sh...t.

BK is toxic. Recruits will know it. Other coaches will use it against him.

As i said in my post. He needs to go! Take a gamble Notre Dame. He stated as much above! What else do they need to know he wants out as badly as the fanbase? Hope they do the right thing but thats a stretch.

I really hope ND combats other schools by aggressively offering coaches larger salaries say 6 to 6.5 mill. Yet 2-3 yr deals. Everyone knows coaches at ND have a shelf life. It offers ND and prospective coaches benefits.
ND: shorter contracts to evaluate performance
Would all but gaurantee to save Univ. $$
It would make it easy for the Univ. To hire n fire at will if said coach is'nt performing or a great option is available.
Buyouts would be much smaller making it affordable for the Univ.

Coach: being well paid is attractive to any coach.
Short contracts ensure your not tied down
For extended period
Having a smaller window could add to a more focused approach at such a difficult institution.
Having ND on your Resume is'nt half bad at least i'd like to believe that.
 
I like the Schiano idea i think the most. My reasoning when Pete went to Sc he had been in the NFL for an extended period thus affording him time to evaluate and implement a body type, frame, clear vision of what a championship formula, namely defense looks like. Enter Saban, Harbaugh. Same can be said.
The fact he's under the Urban umbrella currently. (Championship pedigree)
Many of these coaches that make that jump have success. Perhaps he could be the one. Lets not forget he wasnt any worse at Rutgers than Kelly is here. Roughly n 8-4 coach.

so much noise that Kelly has been on a 4 year search for a job, good grief, at least we know we ain't the only ones that don't want him! seems he's unemployable.
 
The guys on SportsBeat described the Football team being in shambles as the books are closed on the 2016 season. They said that Kelly should be allowed back to fix it? Why? This is year seven of his program and the programs in shambles? Why does he deserve another year? It's not my call.
 
If those reports are true that Kelly expressed interest in the USC job, then all bets are off for me. I would firer NOW!!

The problem is that this is at a point that it is pretty much irrelevant whether it is true or not. It has been widely reported and a lot of people think it is true. With this backdrop, how does Kelly possibly have any success recruiting? Seems to me that would be one of the first issues any potential recruit would raise with him. And no matter how many times Kelly denies it, they may not believe him.

Finebaum called Kelly's performance this year on and off the field the worst he had ever seen in his life.
Recruits watch these shows and will not come to ND if Kelly is not fired. Even alumnus Aaron Taylor is ashamed of ND and states so on CBS sports.

he needs to be fired like yesterday.
 
Time for a change - it will good for coach and ND. Once you enter the saga of should the coach be retained or not you need to make a move. The should we or shouldn't we fire the coach period is always a negative for the program. Just move forward - please.

I heard that Finebaum crushed Kelly today.
I could care less what Aaron Taylor says. If we listened to him with Ty Willingham- ND would have an 0-12 season in the record books like UDub.
This is getting REALLY BAD!
 
Kelly essentially has ND hostage and he knows it.

geez, the guy is otherwise unemployable? no one out there will hire this guy?

Pretty damming article. And spot on BTW. Not sure why Jack has hitched his wagon to BK. Bk is gonna end up burying Jack w/ him.

Not true about Jack being the only one who wants him - Penndick loves rubbing in everyone's face about BK coming back and then there are wafflers who go back and forth who want to give BK another year - really - do the wafflers and anyone who wants BK back watch football ? Do you understand the game ?

Watch Univ Wa. play or Col for that matter - teams that are fundamentally sound or Wisc. - that will give you a clue on how ND is supposed to play and should be playing week in and week out.

I'm so tired of BK. BK like he is some great coach - give me a break - he's an embarrassment to a great Univ.

Send BK down the River and then Row back up the River w/ Fleck !
