Stop the run and make their average QB have to beat you.

OSU had 181 yards vs the ducks.

They only had 81 vs TX.

Yes, they have 2 WRs that will be stars in the NFL. However, TX took them away last night.

Smith 1 catch 3 yrds
EGBUKA 5 for 51

If ND wins the run game then ND wins the game.

Michigan rushed for 172 yards OSU rushed for 77.

Nebraska rushed for 121 OSU rushed for 64.
OSU won 17-21

I like ND in this game.

31-24

Can our elite secondary hold their own against the elite WRs?

CG, Watts, Adon, and Moore are so damn good. Clark and Heard can handle their shit too. We'll see how that matchup goes vs Egbuka, Smith, and Tate.

We have to get to Howard. Make him give it away like Allar did.

I think our secondary can hold their own. My primary concern is our DL. I think we’ll struggle holding their run game in check, and we’ll sell out our secondary trying to get pressure on their qb. Having Mills and Traore and Botelho and a healthy Cross would change these dynamics immeasurably. Hope Golden can work more magic, but one hell of a tall order.

Our secondary is fine in this match up. I’m worried about our ability to get to the quarterback. I absolutely expect Howard to throw a pick and he is definitely capable of giving this game away if we can manufacture pressure. I just worry if we can do that with two high safeties.

If we can’t stop the run, we will lose the game.

Howard is more mobile and quicker than Allar. Add to that the fact that he has more weapons to dump the ball under pressure.....This is a bigger challenge than PSU was. ND can't turn the ball over....and more importantly....can't fall behind two scores. Points have to be produced consistently. Tall order.

Penn State does not have a WR that would play at Ohio St.

I think a bigger problem is the ND offense against their elite defense. I read an article that said 9 or 10 of those starters will be drafted into the NFL. Their DL is special and ND better find a way to slow them down

Thanks for keeping it real cb.

Here's what bothers me of late on the O side. PED State mixed in inside/outside run very successfully. Denbrock has to call more outside runs whether it's zone, jet action or toss plays. It seems like one state figure it out it's in the second half.

I don’t know man. 27 points, 11/17 on 3rd down. 23 first downs. It’s hard to argue against that especially because they had to put in Angeli who brought them down for 3 points. All of this with a makeshift offensive line.

I give a lot of credit to Denbrock.

For sure. I'm not 100% Debbie downer, but I feel (whatever that is valued) they can be ahead of schedule running outside earier.
