OT--Tommy Kraemer 5 star.
LB----Daelen Hayes 5 star.
WR---Demetris Robertson 5 star.
LB----Caleb Kelly 5 star.
LB----Ben Davis 5 star,

Autry Denson is the Kizer Soze of recruiting-- If we get the long shot Ben Davis --it will be due to a lot of hard work by him.

We get the last in home visit to Ben by Coach Kelly very soon. He will bring all of his lieutenant's with him and try to pull off a 2012/2013 Stephan Tuitt + Aaron Lynch last minute coup. I have a crazy feeling.

Three five star linebackers ! Look out Alabama !

can't remember where I read it but read that a certain recruiting insider is hearing that our irish are a bigger player for davis than most people think

From PANDFAN at IE:
There's no doubt that Notre Dame is in Ben's top three," Wayne Davis said. "We're seriously considering them and exploring them these last couple of weeks."--rivals

according to rivals ND is MORE OF A PLAYER than most people think--the take away from the article not this blurb is that Georgia hasn't seen him this week, visits bama this weekend, then auburn and then ND will be back to see him that NEXT thursday---BK IN HOME

Autry Denson and Mike Elston both attended his basketball practice on Wednesday, and talked with the family afterwards. The conversations were good according to Davis' father.

I love to follow recruiting (duh, I'm on this board), but I hate this time of year.

I love to read about the guys who commit throughout the year, and I love checking in on signing day to see our future stars. I hate this last minute scrambling. There is no point getting all worked up about the potential 5* guys we're in the final 2 or 3 for. 9 out of 10 times, we're going to lose out. On all of them.

We already have a great class. Any apparent holes (DT) will be filled by shifting players based upon size and ability. We can guess and hope all we want, but we're just setting ourselves up for disappointment. I think it's unlikely we get any of those three 5* guys above. Haven't you figured it out by now? Rank ND in your finalists, and you get lots of press and sometimes a star bump.

The best thing I take from this crazy time of year is that we have some very good coaches out recruiting. The HS sophomores and juniors are seeing that, and the fruits of guys like Denson's labor will come to bear in the next couple of years.

As the great Aa-ron Rogers once said. R E L A X.

I don't know (regarding setting ourselves up for disappointment). I look at it this way...at least we ARE in fact in the mix and in the discussions. How many years have we reached this late stage and not only not have any big time recruits (meaning 5*) but weren't even in the discussions. Enjoy the excitement and ride. Big props to the staff for stepping it up and having us in this position. Think of the anticipation and if they actually land the guys!!! if they don't, at least it feels like we were serious contenders and our Irish are continuing their upwards recruiting trends.

More than likely Hayes is going to end up as a DE which I'm actually fine with. He could end up being the rush end we desperately need.

ND being more of a player than people think, IMO, means... "ND has about a 5% chance of landing Ben Davis, rather than the 1% chance most of you probably think they have."

I'll be here to eat an entire murder of crows if I'm wrong, but I think they're (Rivals) just trying to build drama leading up the NSD.

Yep - the old bait and switch to get the emotional crowd going.

No way we land Five 5 stars....That just doesn't happen here at ND

I'd be damn happy with Robertson and Jones, and ecstatic to get Kelly as well. I share Ara's nervousness as it's quite possible we miss on all three. Waiting these two weeks out is a bitch, but only because we are seriously in the running for some elite talent, and that's all good.

Catching up the Showtime series -- could be a great recruiting tool. Our kids are just so well-spoken and smart, and students! Tillery is an amazing kid. Come to ND, become a tv star!

The thing about the linebacker and WR position is that both are wide open for someone with Robertson's talent (3 draft picks gone and Schmidt). (Not so sure about the linebacker position as you seem to need an advanced degree to start!) Sheesh.

* FIVE--5 stars !!

* Beat MSU, Stanford, USC and Miami by 34 points guaranteed!

* Win all the razor thin game finishes, some by only 1 point.

* And recruit more 5-stars than anyone else if CFB

* Go undefeated and win the NC

Bodi is getting like Argusman in his predictions..........I.E. ND is always biggest and best and wins everything. Or, could it be that Argus is predicting more like Bodi? LOL..........LMAO..........ha ha ha!

Imagine if Caleb Kelly picked Notre Dame ,I just wonder if that would sway Ben Davis ? It would be a tremendous recruiting linebacking coup with Hayes,Davis, Kelly . Just dreaming a scenario like this, could it help with the #1 player, Defensive tackle Rashan Gary ? If I'm thinking big , so what, I can hope..

I hate to point out that Kraemer isn't a 5 star.

He moved up to 5 star status in the 247 composite recently.

I did not guarantee anything. I made predictions for next years games and asked if others wanted to add there predictions for the upcoming year.
Where did I guarantee where we would get five 5 stars. I said it was a possibility. Does "could" mean guarantee in your "special world", Duo.
You are a total moron, Duo. Too stupid and too angry.

Bodi..........re read the post. Did you NOT say ND would beat Miami by 34 points???

And FWIW, I am not the least bit angry. Sounds like you are angry though. Hey, it's just a football message board. Nothing to get upset over.

4 or 5 he is an ND commit. Robertson is the most important recruit out there. He is instant O as a RK , PR slot/ RB. ND lost a great great deal of speed when CJ and WILL decided to go pro . Roberton brings the second gear that no one has on this team. Ben Davis might be a great LB but Morgan going into year 3 will be the starter . Especially with this DC . Impossible for Davis to make an impact right way in the fall from past history. Robertson is key.

I actually think we get all of them but Davis. They like ND, but not enough to leave the south IMO. For comparison, in 2013 we landed 4 as well: Jaylon, Redfield, Bryant, Vanderdoes. I think on paper those 4 were better, just cause we had 2 of the top 10 and 3 of the top 20, but this year's group would be darn close if we land what I think we will.

I wouldn't include Vanderdon't in any analysis of that class.
