Next up in the first edition of The Heat Index for Notre Dame’s 2025 class is the defensive end position.
Notre Dame has three four-star defensive end commitments — Joseph Reiff, Dominik Hulak, Christopher Burgess Jr. — after three-star defensive end CJ May exited the class in early February. Defensive line coach Al Washington leaned on the Chicago area to build the class.
The Irish are now focusing on one more four-star defensive end in the 2025 class. I've assigned the heat rating of Hot for Damien Shanklin.
