Good-Kelly has brought ND to a NC game and came very close last year to having his team in the playoffs. That is 2 out of 6 years where they have been close to a title.

Bad-After the debacle of the 2012 NC beat down Kelly was very honest and said his program is nowhere near where it needs to be to compete with the Bamas of College Football. He then said that's what he needs to work on. Well it's 4 years later and is ND any closer to Bama or NC status? Or are they further away? I feel they are further away.

Is it September of 2017 yet?

Go Irish!!!

The problem knowing some our perceived issues with Kelly, can he get religion and turn it around by september 2017. That is the key. Will he get a top tier DC that can motivate the troops , can he get a special teams coach that will have the players doing what they are supposed to. Will he adjust in a monsoon to run the ball? Will the o-line with Harry H teach these guys to dominate. (They should) Will whom ever the QB man up and not get their BInkie and Blankie in some corner, Will kelly treat these players like young men and have them enjoy the game. Anything is possible, I believe in redemption however if he doesn't it will prove you can not change the spots on a leopard .

If the Irish were having a successful season, none of this players enjoying themselves, his post game pressers, or his sideline behavior would matter. Dabo and Saban, just to name a couple of in your face on the sideline coaches, are winners, so all is forgiven and swept under the rug. It's the media outside the ND sphere that is making an issue of the matter. They never bother to check with ND media for more info or confirmation and spend little to no time on campus or at the practice sessions. What you get is a self important ESPN guy calling BK miserable without ever meeting the coach. Ask those on the receiving end of "The Kelly Cares" charity if BK is a miserable person. You wanna say that his coaching has been less than stellar, have at it, but this nonsense of his treatment of players and staff is manufactured to fit the narrative while giving Saban and Dabo the wink wink.
