This going to cause a problem with future games this year unless ND uses more then the same running back.

I heard someone on the radio saying that Temple's linebackers were better than Ohio State/Bama (not sure how true that is) but I'm hoping that this was the reason for our failure to run the ball and its just a one game thing.

I'm not sure how true that is.

On it's face it seems to be true, but:

#1 - when you have other backs (Adam) on the sideline not participating then who really knows? Adam is a different kind of back, but I'm sure coach Kelly didn't think he could make a difference

#2 - Temple took the same approach as WSU did, and much like Stanford the ND QB made them pay.

I tip my hat to Temple. They played with heart, and almost slain Goliath. Thank goodness on that last play (a pass of coarse) the drop ball didn't bounce their way

Listening to most in the media, you would have thought Temple won the game. I get the feeling that everyone outside of ND was pulling for Temple. ND was the better team. Ten times out of ten they would be the better team. ND has played it close with inferior teams before. The Virginia game was even scarier than Temple. UMass kept it close for the first half. ND dominated the stats and most important, ND scored more points. And once again, ND turnovers almost wreaked havoc. The game could have been a double digit win. Damn Red Zone. ND still had a hundred yard rusher in the game. What law says it has to be CJ? ESPN and the sports world tried their hardest to create a Cinderella story and it was never going to happen. They want a Cinderella story? Try losing a bunch of starters for the season , your starting QB was a third string player just a few months ago, you're 7 - 1, in the hunt despite the defense, and you are within an eyelash of beating Clemson on their "sacred" ground. Now that's a story.
