The defensive backs ability to tackle in space this year is what made golden look like the genius boy wonder defensive coordinator.
I could attribute that to Mickens and Freeman more than anybody else.
This isn't a knock on Golden and I'm not even trying to trash the man, but a lot of his pressures didn't get home and really weren't that effective and if it wasn't for the ability of these corners and safeties to tackle in space, we all would have a much different opinion of his high risk high reward defense.
I understand that he was handcuffed with a thin defensive line and he had to do what he had to do, but this is just to verbalize my approval if Mickens is the man going forward.
