Notre Dame's Jadin O'Brien set an ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships record with 6,220 points in a heptathlon victory Friday at Wake Forest in the 2025 ACC Championships meet.
O'Brien fell just short of her personal best heptathlon score of 6,234 points, which set a Notre Dame program record when she reached the total for second place at last year's NCAA Outdoor Championships.
O'Brien won all seven of the heptathlon events at this year's ACC Championships. She won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.41 seconds, the high jump at 1.68 meters, the shot put at 14.54 meters, the 200-meter dash in 23.96 seconds, the long jump at 6.16 meters, the javelin at 40.42 meters and the 800-meter run at 2 minutes and 11.82 seconds.
Notre Dame senior Alaina Brady finished second in the heptathlon with a personal best 5,751 points.
O'Brien, a graduate senior, is a three-time NCAA Indoor national champion in the pentathlon. The 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set for June 11-14 at Oregon. O'Brien will first have to qualify through the NCAA Regional Championships in Jacksonville, Fla., on May 28-31.
