If he retains BK for next season, he sends a message that he considers ND football no longer important to the university. He can put all the fancy glitter and gold to the stadium he wants, but if he doesn't care about the Irish returning to prominence then ND football is dead. It is nearly on life support as it is. An athletic directors goals should be to put the best teams on the field to compete with competent coaches. He grades a D. The basketball team is good. Soccer good. The moneymaker ,though , is football. It is a disaster. I will not condemn players[they can be competitive]. They are merely reflecting the poor coaching that they are receiving. Both BK and JS should resign for their failures to football team. Their egos, however, won't allow it. I am afraid that ND football that was once proud and tough is no more. Will ND return to prominence with BK? Quote the raven" Never more".
