Surprised by number of 2017 targets at Irish Invasion

I haven't paid a lot of attention to this in the past, other than thinking last year we seemed to have a disappointing turn out overall. I was reading the list of expected attendees, and was surprised to see that about half are in the class of 2017. For those of you who follow this stuff closer than me, is this typical or a change in strategy?

Its only the second year of the Irish Invasion so I think the strategy is developing. I think the Increase in numbers is a huge plus for II, last year it seemed like it came together kind of late and that was probably a big reason for the low turn out.

Thanks Sal. Like to think this reflects better organization and planning. Relationship building and developing Trust is a common theme among the recruits, and getting such a large number of 2017 targets is a huge step towards this. Damn, hopeful for three or four key commits from the 2016 class this weekend to develop some momentum.

Highly doubt that many commits occur this weekend. I think the issue may be two-fold, there are some guys that may want to commit this weekend that ND has in a holding pattern, and there are others who are highly sought after players that ND is in the top 2-3 but the kids aren't ready to commit anywhere yet.

Telx1 we may hit 3-4 commits this weekend. Not sure they are cornerstone/difference maker guys but the #s are there.

Should get interesting, after the two commits this evening. As you say, three or four is not out of the question going into the weekend.
