How many dropped balls does he have on the year? Doesn't seem like his heads in the game. Maybe day dreaming of greener pastures at Ohio State?

Sorry gang but Bill Walsh and Jerry Rice could not raise the level of QB play. If you aren’t wearing 87 you aren’t getting the ball and if you do be prepared to scoop it off the ground or jump 10 feet in the air.

did Lenzy even play today?

Lenzy hasn't made a play his whole career.

What drop did he have today? I don't remember any
He had at least 1 today. Maybe another. But I think he has dropped passes in every game. Some multiple times in a game. It seems any time an ND wide receiver drops a pass there's a 4 on the jersey.

I saw #0 on special teams

I’m encouraged by Thomas, Merriweather, and Colze. A lot will change in the passing game next season with MM gone, and likely a new QB.

Will be interesting to see who starts. I feel like Thomas is a guy that they want to have on the field, he’s going to continue to improve too. Merriweather will likely emerge too. If he has a good off-season, he could be our best WR. Where does that leave Styles? Seems like Styles is frustrated by the QB play.

It’s good that the WR room has talented athletes that will push one another.

#4 has been a disappointment. I'm not expecting him to put up Golden Tate numbers with this QB. My disappointment lies with his effort. I just don't think this kid wants it that bad to be one of the best. Too many drops, little to no effort to make a catch on a bad throw, doesn't block well. He's got a long way to go. Hope he proves me wrong.

WR room is actually fairly talented, albeit young. I’d be completely content with Styles, Tobias, Colzie and Jayden for the next 3 years (assuming they keep progressing and QB can get them the ball).
The WR room in 2023 will be far different.

I am not disappointed with #4, and what you see I do not see. Drew Pyne does not help this WR crew. Including #4. At all.

This falls on our coaches and former coach BK for recruiting absolute rubbish at the QB position.

Not an exaggeration to say there are more then 50 college QBs I’d take for all of ours.

I watched the OSU QBs warm up before a game against Toledo earlier this month and the arm talent on every single one is off the charts. Pyne couldn’t walk on at OSU, Bama, Clemson, UGA, etc..

I watched the OSU starting QB against Notre Dame. Looked above average.

Have not watched them since.

No need to walk on, He was offered by Bama, Tennessee, A&M, Penn St, OU, Michigan, FSU, LSU.

First, the passing game is so predictable that defenses can sit on all of the wr's routes. ND has a tight end who's drawing two to three guys and you aren't letting the wideouts exploit 1 on 1 down the field coverage.

This is accurate for the most part

Absurd, people always claim “he was offered” referring to recruits, and it’s nonsense. Pyne was NEVER offer a scholarship to Bama, OU, A&M, LSU, just stop.

every school sends out tons of letters of interest, that doesn’t mean they’re offering a scholarship.

I played DI baseball and had several schools like UNC, NCST, and UT send me letters of interest but never received a verbal offer from their coaches.

Tell us about your "expertise with arm talent"

Both 247 and Rivals show offered by said schools, do you have a link stating otherwise or should we just trust your garbage spewing?

So Bama offered Pyne a spot but offered and got the #1 QB in Young, Then they offered the #3 QB Milroe and got a commitment from him, then last year got the #3 QB Ty Simpson, it sounds like they really wanted and need Pyne.

OSU offered and got Stroud the #2 QB, and Miller #6 QB but then also offered Pyne? OSU was going to take 3 QBs, no.

The next season OSU also offered McCord a #3 QB and Ewers the #1 QB and got commitments from both of them.

Clemson had a verbal from DJU the #1 QB, Makes sense they all offered Pyne…🤦🏼‍♂️

It’s not anything personal, seems like a fine young man, but right now he’s not good, he’s a touch over 5’10 without the arm of Brees or Tua. Maybe he’ll become a Stetson Bennett after a year or two. Just not looking forward to the long developmental period that comes with that.

So who are you arguing with? Simply google Drew Pyne 247. Then you will see for yourself. It’s really that simple.

Not all offers are real offers. Anyone who follows recruiting knows that. We do it too

"did Lenzy even play today?"

According to Freeman, he (Lenzy) was ill during the week and was limited in practice, and, Freeman wanted to go with length at the receiver position a lot. Lenzy did see action on special teams.

“He was ill to start the week,” Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman said. “So, he missed practice and then we kind of settled into trying to get a little bit more length on the field at wideout. We had a couple of personnel (groups), where we wanted tall guys. We called it ‘tall personnel,’ you know. And the ability to get some of that length — because they have some long corners.

“We wanted to be able to challenge those guys, but it started off because of an illness.”

Lenzy had 14 catches for 128 yards (9.1 yards per catch) and a touchdown on the season before the game.

As a result of Lenzy’s limited availability and the offensive game plan, the 6-5, 211-pound Deion Colzie saw more action. The sophomore finished the game with a career-high three catches for 44 yards (14.7 yards per catch). It was the first time he caught a pass this season."

ND was the best at limiting Stroud in a game this year -- since you have not watched them since, he is the leading candidate for the Heisman, and his season stats back it up. He is probably, the best QB in the nation right now (I have not seen the kid from Tennessee either, and I know Young's stats are not that stellar this year). But, this kid throws the best ball I have seen form anyone this year so far. He has touch, accurate, and puts the ball in the best spot for the receiver.
