Spencer Perry didn't need to meet Notre Dame defensive backs coach Todd Lyght to know that he was the man he wanted to play for in college. The Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star safety and new Irish commit explains why he flipped from Florida to Notre Dame.
"The combination of academics and great football was something I couldn't pass up on," Perry said. "I just thought that it was the right fit for me and my family. I made the decision about three or four days ago that I wanted to be at Notre Dame. I called [head coach] Brian Kelly and [Lyght] and they were very happy."
